Armadillo
ModeratorWell, this is sort of the equivalent of sweeping the floor and turning off the lights. Not sure if anyone is still here…but the last and final road report is up.

ParticipantThanks Armadillo for your reports during the years, I’m glad you had the opportunity to live your dream! We met briefly in Kotka, Finland 2011 and back then you were still able to watch the show. This August I only saw the glimpse of you in Pori behind the stage in full action. Greetings from Finland and all the best! Panu

ParticipantYes. This board reached it’s end quite a while ago already. I shared some, not very eloquent, words regarding the end

One thing certainly I was looking forward after each show, was to read the road report. Even if it was just filled with backstage stuff. It rounded out the experience. Sadly those reports were a bit lacking this year. 😉

ParticipantAbsolutely we’re still here ……. and “Still Hungry”!!! Thank you for all the fabulous road reports, for the occasional times shared down the front – or round the back 😉 and for the friendship forged. This may be the end of one chapter but the story will go on because “You Can’t Stop Rock ‘n’ Roll”
If anyone doubts how hard you’ve worked over the last few years for us and for the band here’s a photo I took in Athens a few years ago. Picture the scene – it’s 1am, the band and crew just finished a punishing set at a club in Athens where the temperature indoors had to be around 50C, we’re back at the band hotel by the poolside bar on the rooftop with the most amazing view of the Acropolis behind us. My wife and I are sharing a glass of wine with JayJay, Mark, Eddie and AJ and our kids are draining several bottles of water (it was sooo hot!) (thank you very much Danny!) and I turn around to see Terry in a corner, PC plugged in, bashing out the evening’s report before he and the band head off first thing next morning. That’s dedication.
Hope to catch you on the road sometime Terry! All the best, Marty

ModeratorWell, unfortunately Patrick, as I’ve mentioned many times, it’s really not possible to write a road report on a show I didn’t see. Due to the number of tasks that I was responsible for, and the fact that those tasks were required during the show itself, it meant that I missed the show. On a few occasions, I saw barely two songs. Many times, it was simply background music while I loaded vans, packed bags, dealt with caterers, etc. So each and every road report would be pretty much the same–a view from backstage, that was the daily grind of logistics. Not very interesting to fans. I wasn’t even able to post setlists–the setlist usually has some last minute changes. But since I didn’t see the shows, I couldn’t tell you what they played or didn’t play.
I did my best–I gave you Road Reports as often as I could from 2003 to 2014. The last two years it just wasn’t possible.
