Followed them very close since Get your wings came out and have seen em, or part of em, on every tour since 1975. And actually just saw Joe on his solo mini tour about a year back. The JPP was, to be dead honest, hot and cold. Some shit really rocked and some shit was filler. In the beginning Joe had no clue how to manage and front a solo band and that what hurt him. He did a much better job with this new tour. Anything Aero you wanna know you come to the right place ;-) I find his first two Project CDs to be better than Once A Rocker, but Once A Rocker (the Song) is one of my favorite songs of his. K9, Totally agree. I think by the time he got to the 3rd album all his best material was used up. lol And I am not the biggest Mach Bell fan either. Along with Once a rocker I liked Black Velvet pants and Bang a Gong the rest IMHO is FILLER. lmao I Like Never Wanna Stop as well, but most of that album is Fillers. Cowboy isn't my favorite singer. However Raulph Morman, Charlie Farren, and even Joe himelf I loved on vocals.

Crew Posts: 70 | There was this band from Queens called Riot. They had this thing on their album cover. it was like a guy with a seals head and a battle axe in hand. Their first album kicked unreal ass. I played it for Jay Jay one night and even he was impressed. their second album, I think it was called Narita, sucked royal ass. Too bad, I think they would have made it big if they stayed the coarse

Destroyer Posts: 545 | Riot kicked ass, and they still do today. I think they have like 20 albums by now. "The Priveledge Of Power" just might be the best one...

Elite SMF Posts: 271 Location: Long Island | I know there's now an off-topic section but it seems like this thread is still going on right here so I apologize if this should be posted elsewhere, but for now I'm just gonna follow the leaders. Most of the bands mentioned are NYC area bands so I'm doubting that anyone heard of these guys but I have an CD from a Rochester, NY based band that I always thought kicked ass. They were called New Religion. They had an EP that I think I may have gotten a dubbed tape of at one point but God knows where that is. There full lenght CD (and last recording to my knowledge) was eponymously named and put out in '96 long after most metal like this was no longer being played. Like I said, don't know that anyone has heard of them but thought I'd throw it out there. Had metal still been king in the mid-90's I think these guys could have done well. Best,
