Location: Sydney | Absolutely gutted to here about Steve Irwin who was killed by a sting ray on Monday while filming.
I am an animal lover myself and am a member of the marine conservation society and the shark trust had a lot of time for Steve.
As well as being a good TV personality, He was a passionate naturalist and you could tell he loved his work so much the way he got quite emotional sometimes.
Of course we all know him for doing stupid things like chasing after a crocodile twice as big as himself and diving on it and saying (in his great Australian accent) things like "Struth mate look at this one...aint she a bute? I wont hang on to her for long coz she might start to get a little cranky". Who else in there right mind would do that? Only Steve.
Steve was the Aussiest bloke in the world, and I'm sure he must have lived in Ramsey st next door to Joe Mangol, drove around in a ute & had the best of Rolf Harris in the cd player.
But he had his serious side too, trying to get the message accross to look after and respect nature because if we dont, then one day all of these wonderfull creatures which we share our planet with may not be here anymore.
I'm sure he will be missed by everyone and the world be a much better place with more people like him around, and countless species of animals wouldn't be on the brink of extinction.
A very sad loss.

Location: Graveyard BLVD. | This was such a tragedy. I always watched his program..he loved every creature big and small. He adored his family too. What a shame.. |

| It really shocked when they said over the radio that he died. I watched his show a lot, but at least they're having Steve Irwin marathons on Animal Planet in his memory. |

Yeah, it's great to see. Some of the shows he did are worth a second whirl. He was so funny and courageous at times. Too bad his "courageous" got him. I'll miss that program.
