Well so:

Is this his last year like in: nothing after 2006.

OR

Will he still be in the band for a year (meaning after summer 07 they would call it a day)

I feel that maybe the 2nd option is closer. Caus I have heard rumours that TS would have something planned for next year?!

Your thoughts?

And couple of other things to think about:

1) Continue with a new singer? (Not possible IMO)

2) Still do a couple of days per year as Bent Brother (god I hope so)

Oh course I feel sad about this as the band sounds and feels better than ever. And this is HUGE - as most (99%) of the bands that reform in the same(ish) circumstanses do not sound ok at all. This is something special and I am sort of sad that they did not put this new energy to an new studio album, but I am more than happy with we have seen so far. Still Hungry was great and the XMAS album is one sick idea.

Whatever you boys decide to do - I am with you 100%, I just want to thank you - the 2 shows I have seen from you have been the BEST liveshows I've seen ever! I just hope that you would come to Europe one last time to do a couple of dates here and there!

All and all this reunion has been/IS very important to the legacy of TS - as they will now be remembered as a band that made a difference and band that was/is unique. I feel that without this reunion many would have though (the general public) them as just one of the hair bands from the 80ties. WELL not anymore, TS have proven theirselves as the headlining act of the best festivals in Europe. They have gotten tons of new loyal audience. For example my friend who just was stunned after the Sauna Open Air show in Tampere/Finland.

Twisted fuckin' Sister has made a difference in my life - in our lives! And heck, there aren't a lot of bands that can do that - none of the new bands can! The music is as good as it was 20-30 years ago - again how many new bands can do that with their music. Do you honestly think that Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Nickelback or some other crap like that will fill up festivals 20-30 years from now - HELL NO. Thats what makes the difference, only the best handful can do that, and like JJ said on the Wacken DVD - that's when you know you've made a difference!

Ok this is now starting to be just endless pabble, so I'll stop by putting it shortly:

Thanks guys, you have influenced my life in a big way - and continue to do so, no matter what happens!

Regards,
JJ "SMF" German

1. No way in hell.

2. Maybe?

I don't know. I'm just thankful I got to see the band before they wrapped it up. Beyond that, I don't think about it. When they're done, they're done. In the meantime I just want to get to as many shows as I can. I think that's probably the best way to see it.

JJ!

Great post, I don't think anyone can really project what will happen after 2006. I suppose if the offer is too good to be true, I bet only in the UK for TS, they might do it for the 2007 year, who knows. Sure hope BB makes it way still around the tri-state area and maybe further..would be awesome.

Although sad but true, the end has come to the most powerful band I have known who has made the most impact on my life. So the sentiments are mutual. God Bless TS, they are all such wonderful guys...that's the truth.

surely the reunion has been important for twisted sister.I don't know if it proved to many that twisted sister wasn't just a hair band because many people still consider them(wrongly) an american party metal band. However, I see in these threads that for many poeople twisted sister were a lot more and their music has had a great impact on their lives.surely they weren't a cliche heavy metal band. their songs mean a lot to many and to me of course.it's true that there is a party climate in their concerts as i saw them live recently but it's more than that. i experienced it when they came on stage with what you don't know... and i was strongly moved

i wish it was the later and it was until next year around this time but.... i've heard dee is ready to move on and pretty much has to be begged everytime they wanna do something because he's over twisted sister. got back together, had fun and now he wants to end thing while everyone is still friends, before they get too old and make movies and do other projects. love them for what they gave us and be glad that the journey lasted this long.

But surely they are also making good pocket money from these gigs? Isn't that a motivator?

Well I understand Dee's view anyway - but still it's a shame.

Hoping for the maxium amount of SMF'ing possible!
