By now it's hard not to be well aware of the tribulations that endured during Stay Hungry, not only internally with TS, but between our little legends here and another legend in very much his own right, Tom Werman.

Stumbled on this and after checking out his career works, I wasn't sure what I'd find. Low and behold #11. Cool to read. Something directly l from his mouth as there are several real in depths interviews(some really good radio ones!)from the Sister's stand point.

And of course there is no right or wrong when it comes to these kinds of clashes. Character builders!

"They weren’t the greatest live band around"

Wow...I have YET to see a better one. Not in my lifetime.

And what percentage of artists do you think you've seen live? Maybe .00001% of all acts that have ever hit the stage. Come on, Joey....it's subjective. Just because we think they're great doesn't mean others have to think the same way. I can't believe I just had to say that. This board sometime's, I tell ya, it's one of the reasons why I don't come around here much anymore.

Oh! By the way, Joey.....you see that Savatage is reuniting for Wacken and possibly more shows?...especially going into 2016.

Ok, I'll rephrase that. Out of the 600 or so live bands that I've seen, Twisted was the best of them...I've never seen any crowds, ever, at any shows, be as responsive as they are at Twisted shows. Dee gets a crowd going better than ANY front man I've seen on a stage. Just my humble opinion...but I really can't think of any band I've seen that puts on a live show that riles a crowd up as well as Twisted does.

As far as Savatage goes, I am psyched that they are giving it another go, love them...but more importantly, I'm really happy to hear that Jon Oliva ia cleaning up his health and losing a ton of weight before he drops dead on us from a heart attack. He's a phenomenal lyricist/songwriter/pianist/vocalist and such and his music is so emotionally charged...I'd hate to lose him too soon.

A men, Brutha! #jonolivaworkout

As far as a crowd goes. When I saw Tool at Roseland in 94, that crowd was the most intense I've ever been apart of. Blew away every and anything I've ever experienced. Both guys and girl, thousands of them, rockin on high octane. However!....the "showmanship" sucked. Next Emimem in '03, one of the most boring shows my eyes witnessed. You woulda thought their shoes were crazy glued to the monitors.

I've seen some Twisted crowds petty laid back. And I'll never know why. But...that's how some enjoy a show more. Soaking it all up without missing anything except for when they blink. For me, I don't think i see the stage for more than 20 collective minutes am in full force.

Why does Twisted need to do go all out and do so much to get people worked up, while Tool didn't do a damn thing and the place was bananas?

Doesn't add up

Besides you, Joey, I forget who else here are familiar with Savatage and their live craftmsnship, but they are a hrlluva band live ESPECIALLY after seeing them pull off Chance and Morphine Child live. Now. When it comes to putting on a show, Jon Is no Dee. He's not even in the same stratosphere. However, witnessing all other performers, 2G, D, B & keys...each sing different lyrics and different melodies while playing their instruments(They pulled off a 5 part vocal counterpoint, with the lead always being harmonized). That was petty untoppable.

That's performance....Twisted are very good performers who happen to have stellar showmanship. It's what Kramer needed to get over the hump as well.

Twisted Sister are great performers and they are a hard act to follow, but the crowds weren't the most energetic crowds that I've seen. Metallica, Van Halen, and Iron Maiden crowds were more into the shows.
