Extreme SMF Posts: 147 | Yep. They are in so F£$@kin' great form that they easily pull a few years more of TS in top notch form. But if they go out, they gotta go out with Dee on vocals. The other guys can play with some other project name, but it really is not TS without Dees voice and he wrote 100% of the songs as well - well not the Leader of the Gay Pack, that is a cover. Allthou, again and still I would like to hear T.V. Wife with JJ on vocals!

Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | I remember when Love Is For Suckers came out. When I peeled the cellophane off the album and put it on, the sound just wasn't Twisted Sister. The first thing I noticed? The drums. That's right. I looked at the liner notes, and sure enough, no A.J. Pero. I remember being upset. Okay, in fairness, I was 17, so I made a production number drama out of everything, but I felt like it wasn't the TS that I knew anymore. And in truth, it wasn't….it was something a little different. Now interestingly, I just saw Joe Franco play as a part of Dee's solo band (who are really awesome, by the way) and they played several Twisted Sister songs. Did it sound like Twisted Sister? Well….yes….and no. Vocally, yes--of course--it was Dee singing. But the guitar lines, the rhythm section--you could definitely tell it was not Twisted Sister playing. I enjoyed it nevertheless. So the issue of could there be Twisted Sister without Dee? Well. I hate to even ponder that question because I love seeing all 5 play together. I think we would get a different feel and really, a different vibe of a band. I would not expect another singer to be "Dee"--let's face it, there's only one. But could another artist cover Dee's songs/vocals WITH Twisted Sister and do the songs justice? I think that all depends on the singer. We would need someone who could sing well, rock hard and engage the audience. Hmmmmmm. have to give this one some thought. {wonder if Lemmy is available….]

Serious SMF Posts: 43 Location: L'Amour | NO WAY!!! I bet that the rest of the band members have no interest in doing so also. Dee is not just a great frontman, he is THE BEST frontman of ALL TIME Period!! Dee encompasses EVERYTHING that a frontman should be. Nobody commands a crowd like Dee Snider & maybe one day when they decide to finally call it a day, everybody will realize what a unbelievable perform he was. Until then.....Let's hear some 2015 dates!

Ironically, the way I got so into TS was as a result of an email from Sam Ash that read, "Sing With Twisted Sister". Back in 2008, TS actually had a contest to win a spot as singer with the band. They were doing an instore at Sam Ash in LI and Dee could not be there for some reason. I was on the Sam Ash email list, so I got the invite. I went through the entire TS catalog and could not find one song I could do as well, (MAYBE Leader of The Pack...) So I did not enter the contest but I did go to their instore at J & R that year. It was only due to my ignorance that I was even able to think about entering that contest. Once I realized how awesome Dee Snider was as a singer and a frontman, I mean, ... seriously? And did you see those pics from the Best Buy show? Where are you gonna find a 60 year old singer with that body? Even Mick Jagger never looked that fit at 60! I should not even qualify this question with a response, but here goes- NO WAY!

It's like when people do covers on an album- there are some singers you just don't cover- Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, ...Dee Snider!

There is no one who could do it.I know people could do an homage but not a show. Even younger guys could not hold a candle to him. Just before TS went on at the Best Buy, Jeff Scott Soto who I think is awesome, closed the Adrenelin Mob set. He is a great singer but not Dee. I had a dream that Miles Kennedy was singing along at a show and all the other rock stars in the audience told him to shut up. There is no one who can do it...
