Extreme SMF Posts: 155 Location: SCOTLAND | So Twisted are playing Download; Yesssssssss!!! Unfortunatly their playing on the second stage, under Status Quo; what the Hell?! Sadly this means that we'll only get maybe an hour of Dee and the boys, if we're lucky!!! Don't get me wrong, a hour of the Sister is better than 3 hrs of most bands you could mention, but surely a legendary band of Twisted's caliber should be headlining on the main stage! It's a no brainer!!! I've been lucky enough to see TS live on several occasions, since the reunion and as I'm sure my fellow SMFs are aware; they fucking kill!!! Simply put, Twisted are the greatest live band of their's and many others generation! No one can touch them! I honestly don't think any of the bands on the Download bill, could beat Twisted's live performance; not their intensity, commitment, energy and goddamn pure 100% Rock 'n' Roll entertainment!!! It's just a shame that the Sister don't get the level of respect that they rightly deserve. Last time they played Download, every review I read had Twisted as thee band of the festival. It's a shame the organisers haven't realised the huge appeal of the band, and put them on the bigger stage, to a bigger audience; and give the fans the full Twisted live experience! Maybe next time! Aw well, guess I should be thankful to get a chance to see TS live in the UK again, I just wish it was more!! After all, you can never get too much of a good thing and Twisted are the best!!!

Exactly my thoughts when I checked the Download website.......I was expecting TS to be headlining on the main stage on Saturday. That is a very strange running order and even though I like Status Quo a lot (especially if they play in their original line-up which I suppose they'll do) I feel sorry for them already now. A real bad decision by the festival organizers to let them (or any other band) go on after TS.

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 406 | Hi there, due to family business I won't be attending Download to see the mighty TS blow the stage apart as they've done previously in 1983 and 2011. The accom booking I have, at the Tamworth M42 Travelodge - postcode for sat nav use = B77 5PS, is a Saver Rate and is non-refundable. If anyone wants this accom - please PM me ... thanks very much. Accom is for a family room for Friday 13th and Saturday 14th of June. Gutted I can't attend and my girlfriend has never seen TS. I'm sure my fellow SMF's will make me proud and help the band make it an unforgettable performance. Cheers Dan bach

Road Reporter Posts: 1729 Location: Baltimore, MD | I'm always disappointed when Twisted doesn't get top bill. I feel a slight bit of sympathy for any band that has to take the stage after them. It usually doesn't go well. And yes, Lorndog, like you….it's a long plane trip for me…those extra 30 minutes of TS time mean a whole lot! But I'll take 60 min of TS over watching old youtube videos from previous shows any day
