Nearly A Band Member Posts: 891 Location: Dream Street | I hate to be a voice of reason here but if very few fans are willing to donate(even a $1 amount) for the film to be launched, how many people do you think will pay to see it in a theatre??? I mean come on. This is ridiculous. It's a shame but it's the reality of the whole thing. Of course I'm donating as I feel it's my obligation as full blown SMF, but how many people here would donate for a band they don't know much about? And further more, who here would go see a movie about a band they weren't fans of?

And as an SMF, I will also send some cash but not as a donation. I will buy a TS t-shirt to help raise money. Ill send the money to the mgt offices, though. Sorry, but I dont trust websites. D.T.A.- Don't Trust Anybody... Old habits die hard. Good to hear your voice of reason on the slamboard again! Thanks, Nancy Edited by nancyde 2014-01-07 6:04 AM

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 891 Location: Dream Street | Point taken. And a good enough point it was. How many people here saw Anvil in the theatre? I did not. But in my defense i don't go to movie anymore. 1 time in the last 4 years. 2 in the last 7. Edited by Jaysin 2014-01-07 1:03 PM

Elite SMF Posts: 214 Location: Da Bronx | Which two friends? Me and Jaysin? I hope so too! And with a title like that we will have to meet at a premier in NY or LA or somewhere like that. Definetly not a title for the bible belt. See you at the show! Edited by nancyde 2014-01-09 5:48 AM

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 772 | This documentary/ movie will Not be in theaters near you.......... This will probably be a dvd that will be made public to this website etc.. Not knocking it! But the interest in how a band made it in 1984 is not Oscar worthy material... Glad its being made, but just a small amount of diehards {like Myself} will probably only see it. SMFF
