It's almost 4 am... but I would be failing to serve my primary purpose for being on the road with Twisted if I did not at least post the setlist from the Graspop Metal Meeting 2013... a full and thorough road report is coming soon....and it is gonna be a real humdinger!

It was absolutely epic! I was standing right in front of the stage, 5th row. I was standing there in the pouring rain but what a show, what a performance! It's a shame Mark wasn't there but the guy who replaced him did a good job.
Actually a few months ago I had a Twister Sister dream in which a bandmember had a knee injury which led to the band cancelling their show. In my dream I was offered to dine with the other four members to make up for the cancel I'm glad that dream didn't come true (allthough I would love to get the chance to meet them in person) and that I had the opportunity of seeing Twisted again in my backyard!

Armadillo, sorry that we could not talk for longer, but as you where working and I was running from band to band there wasn't a lot of time to socialize. I hope we get another chance to meet in the near future.

I also want to pay my respect to Dave, who had to work his way through hundreds metres of mud and waterpools. You are a true hero!

Wow... That was wet. But great nonetheless. After a build up of 3200 km through several countries i finally got to see ts in 2013. Soaking wet and freezing in the front row, but definitely happy. Great mood. Great crowd. Shame about mark. I'm wish him a speedy recovery. Shame about soulfly not being there in time. Was looking forward to seeing them

Great show! Fuck the bitch for the weather! And a soon recovery for Mark! To be honest I missed him on stage. Russell did a hell of a good job, but I just missed the smashing on the neck of bass ;-)

1) emergency knee operation

2) no idea, Dee didn't mention. Apparently they didn't knew him before, as Dee called him the wrong name during the two rehearsals they had.

Hmm... no.. his first name was Russell... Russell something. I'm sure Armadillo will have the inside scoop.

Russell (Russ) Zutto is his name--he knows Mark well and he was personally asked by Mark to fill in for him at Graspop. Even though Russ was familiar with Twisted's music, you just have to give him the utmost respect and admiration--he had almost no notice, 2 quick rehearsals and an absolutely memorable "secret" rehearsal backstage with Jay Jay and AJ before the show. Russ did an amazing job--and he was cool as a cucumber--he wasn't nervous, he knew he had an important job to do and he delivered the goods. Outstanding!

Of course we all missed having Animal pound away, but Russ still did a fantastic job. (Twisted Sister has had last minute substitutions during emergencies before....I have to say, getting the call to headline Graspop is probably one in a million!)

Why was Marks surgery emergency?

Did he hurt it? Or was it an ongoing problem? Just curious about the circumstances etc..

I had 2 knee surgeries, thats why I asked!
