We booked tickets the day they went on sale for the front row balcony(the shit seats as Dee calls them) but when we got there the balcony was closed. When we asked why we were told that due to poor ticket sales the venue were going to cancel the concert but the promoter said put everyone downstairs and keep it on which is what happened.
We still had a great time(as you would expect with a TS gig)
Im not sure if this is true or not but the place wasn't rammed unlike the astoria a few years ago but maybe it explains the cancelled shows.
Who knows but thanks TWISTED for a great night and thanks DEE for saying hello and letting me have my pic taken with you at the end of the night.

Hi we also had front balcony seats that were brought the day the tickets went on sale
It was very annoying not to have the seats I had paid for and to be given crap seats at the back which were worse than bad.
I was told by management at the hall Twisted Sister would pull the gig if the balcony was open and the other U.K dates were pulled due to poor ticket sales Very poor for the bad boys of Rock n Roll a bit like it's my ball and Im taking it home.
In classic rock mag Dee states that he does not want to continue Sister any more so why the new album? What is going on.
Remember the U.K is where you made it first you will have pissed off a lot of loyal fans with your actions.

Oh then Twisted sister came on forget the seats forget the balcony forget arguing with the hall management they were awesome as always shame it was only half full but, full show and 100 % given by the band I will be there again next time where ever it is in the U.K if there is a next time

KEEP IT GOING

I too had balcony tickets and ended up with a chair at a table at the back. But all in all I enjoyed the gig and for Twisted Sister to still be going after all these years is great. How many of todays bands, as good as some of them are, will be able to stand the test of time like they have? Dee's voice is very powerful, he's a witty guy and the band played really well. Hanoi Rocks were good too, it was nice to see them. I know the place wasn't exactly packed and maybe they should have chosen a smaller venue, but all in all I enjoyed it. Keep Rockin Guys!

Yes we too had balcony seats but i for one am so glad it was closed! If we had sat on the balcony my every dream would not have come true. I am the mum of Thomas (MINI DEE)! Tom has been into Twisted Sister since he was 18 months old when his Dad (Rockit) put the Come Out And Play video on for him. He is quite simply obsessed and has always claimed "I am going to be on stage with Dee" It was magic!! I cried loads and i mean loads and i feel proud that both me and his dad have raised him to be the confident young man that he is. For people who still dont know how old he is.............. he's 5!!

I would just like to say a huge great big thanks to Joe Rock for making this possible, thanks to Dee for being the role model in my babys sound choice in music and to all the fans for making him so so welcome THANKS A MILLION!

We will post some pictures and please let us see some of yours cause he must have been photographed by at least 40 people easy!

And what about the other 2 litl'uns that were with you.Especially the one who was asleep on your shoulder most of the time, and you made them wait outside to see Dee.He didn't come out untill 12.15 am.My kiddies were tucked up in there beds and the baby sitter was happy to look after them untill we got back.Me and the wife had a great time and at the weekend we'll do something with the kids.Twisted Sister shows are not really the place for small children i feel.

We saw Dee and the rest of TS after the gig out side and the nicest thing for Tom is that Dee will never forget Tom, cause he told him so! How cool! We are going to put some pictures on later so watch this space!

The one who was asleep on my shoulder for the last 15 minutes of the gig had had a napp during the day which he doesn't normally have! They are all fans and they love it! If they had have wanted to go home we would have taken them, they wanted to wait for Dee as well. We are a rock and family and we enjoy doing this together as a family and we do devote weekends together as a family. Twisted sister shows are for fans and my children are fans, infact the much needed next generation!

I thought Dee's Mini-Me was great! I look forward to seeing the pics.
Back to the seating, the hall management were using the promoter / performer as an excuse for everything. I am permanently on crutches, and while I can stand if I have a wall to lean on, I like to sit down if I can. When they said I had to use the seats at the back, I asked how they can justify me getting such a crap view, but they point blank refused to let anyone up there.
I went to the bar to get a couple of bottles of water for the gig, and they wouldn't serve them to me with the tops on. Because of the crutches, it's the only way I can carry them in my pockets, but the kid just wouldn't serve me. I went back to the manager I had just finished with, and asked him why I couldn't have bottles of water, and was given the promoter / performer excuse again. I told him that was total crap as there were cans and bottles everywhere in Manchester the night before. He ended up giving in on that one and gave me two bottles. I guess he was just gald to get away from people arguing about the seats.
Other than that. It was a great gig. TS always give me value for money, and I hope they come back soon!

While I don't think that all concerts are places for young children and maybe TS concerts aren't for all young children, isn't that ultimatly up to the parents to decide??? Just like a parents responsibility to monitor what thier kids are listening to.......who's that knocking on the door??? uh oh, is it the PMRC?? I would hate to see rules/laws made that you had to be a certain age to attend a R&R show! Think how much creativity, love for music and even possible future stars we could lose.
