looking back, the best show i've ever seen by anybody - anywhere was most likely twisted sister at studio 109 (a roller skating rink in west babylon) in the early 80's. they destroyed that place, i think i was around 15 or so. the greatest long island band playing in my hometown, those were the days.

i saw twisted play at a few roller rinks on long island back in the day, and at the ritz in nyc with queensryche opening up (queensryche only had their first e.p. at the time), when they finally got to play the nassau coliseum (i think it was with aerosmith) that was insane. the small shows to me were the best though.

That was in center reach (spelling) yeah, zebra opened for aerosmith. studio 109 was across from the west babylon high school on rt. 109, it had ice & skating rinks, twisted played on the roller rink side. it's now a rite aid. saw the centereach show, thought there was a rink show in commack too.

Crew Posts: 70 | Fountainfan. just for the record, when I say we, it's meant as Twisted Sister. When I talk with the band members we refer to playing places as , hey, did we play there? Or when we played there, the place was packed. sorry for the confusion

i believe this show (studio 109) was prior to the ritz show with queensryche (11/83). i have vivid memories of this show, one being a tough guy i knew from w. babylon beating someone up by the front door as i was going in. and two, there was a 3ft high cinder block wall inside the rink that was near the skate rentals, people were sitting on it & it collapsed, no one was hurt & it was during the show while you guys were playing. i believe this show took place, but unless someone posts on here that they went or they were in a band that opened for you guys, etc... i have no proof. maybe im going senile. attached a pic of the place i found online. it's 9/11 - god bless america. Cintron opened, and I believe the show was fairly soon after Fast Joey Brighton joined the band.
