The main problem is that Russia is not in EU (like Finland or Greece) - they are in Europe, but not European Union.
HOW WAS THE SHOW GUYS? ANYONE WHO WAS THERE?
Hi Urosh
By my watch, it is before noon....which means right about now, they are at the venue to meet the techs and begin the setup for the sound check. oh is this killing me. to be sitting here in Helsinki, just a short few hours flight away....and know that they are playing tonight and I am SOOOO close but can't get into the Country...heartache!
Not sure exactly when they take the stage tonight GUESSING it will be 2200 hrs or so, the shows out here seem to put them on late.
Patrick....I am leaving the report in your trusted hands....enjoy every moment my friend! |

Location: Austria | Yeah, what can I say? Moscow got rocked and the european tour is over! Unfortunatly I'm not a man of that many eloquently spoken words as Terry. In short (I might add some more when I get home) there was no "Whole lotta Rosie" today, but otherwise the same songs. Mark was a bit unhappy with his amp and laid into the poor soundguy on the right... at one point it kinda looked like he would walk around the mixing desk and strangle the poor man (Terry, what did u say about not getting Mark angry?). Mark and Jay Jay held some conference during play, where (I assume ) he was pouring out his heart regarding that amp/sound/whatever situation. We also found out that there is quite a lot russion blood running through Twisted Sister (Jay Jay and Dee). Dee had a go at the seated people on the balcony, asking them whether they were handicapped or just there to take a shit. Some guy in the front had a couple of rolls of toilet papers with him (don't ask me why), Dee asked him to hand it to him and proceeded to shoot some toilet paper rolls up the balcony. In the end all the roadies where asked on stage to get their round of applause. I got some videos and pictures. I will post them soon!
What a day! First seeing Twisted Sister live and then taking a stroll at night on the madly lit red square. It can't get that much better! Okay, gotta get off the computer now.

| Russia Rocks!!! The show was super! General sucess for the first TS show in Russia ever (HELD ON MONDAY). The music was super and the audience was ready to rock. Everybody knew the lyrics and stuff.
TS come again! We love you! Hope you like it in Russia.
P.S. There are gonna be some fun pics like Dee Snider running around in "Ushanka" and the Russian national flag... |

Yeah! Of course it is... but going by what you have to do to get a Visa you would think there is still an iron curtain! It's easier getting into Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand and so on, than to get into a supposedly almost european country! You need pictures, an invitation, travel insurance, have to register yourself once you get to your destination, have to de-register yourself before leaving and so on.... germans have to show their paycheck, proof of residency in their country and so on! On top of the flight, which did cost 180 €, I had to pay another 150 € to get that Visa. It's ridiculous really! It only segregates them from the rest of the world. I only need to fill out an online form to go to the USA.
In fact for me is easier to get to Thailand or Viet Nam than to Austria. I did the same (pics, insurance, etc) as you did, when I went to Wien last year. And a Visa was 80 Euros. + tickets of course. Talking about iron curtain, Snider still thinks that we don't speak english here in Russia. By the way the gig was great yesterday. They should have visited us earlier, no f'''ing curtains. ROCK'N'ROLL everybody!! |

I guess the bottom line is that Visas suck! Period! And some countries jack up Visa requirements just in spite!

Yeah! He does! And well... most of the people I encountered didn't really speak any english! Of course there were also exceptions though! |
