got this email today,

Congratulations, you have won a pair of tickets to attend the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards 2011! In the next week or so you will be receiving your tickets, and a full letter giving you all of the information you’ll need.
Just a reminder, the Awards take place on Monday 13th June, at the Indigo2 in the O2 complex, North Greenwich, London. Doors open at 6pm.
If you will not be able to attend, please let us know by replying to this email, as we can then reallocate the tickets to other fans that have entered the competition.

Count me in - got my email today. Haven't warned them about the wheelchair yet though - I'll fight that battle on the day. Just need to make sure the TS lights are in good order for this one - I won't wear them at Donington as it will be too early in the evening. See you all in London.

Told you so! Have fun... the Indigo is pretty cool, I saw Prince there a couple of years ago... the wheelchair shouldn't be a problem there! I wish I could be there too!

I think however the blurb on the TS front page said the lucky recipients would hear by Friday so I'm ever hopeful!!!

Eoineo - I'm sorry you haven't got an email YET - hope a SMF will have a spare one for you - I wouldn't be surprised if was because you were from outside England - they just don't know how sick you really are.

Patrick - Yeah I'm sorry you are not making it over - but you have Greece +1 (is it Czech or Madrid?) to look forward too. I'm sure you will do good meeting up with Marty again - as well as Terry (Armidillo) & Urosh in Greece.

RockyRandall - yeah a beer (or at least a coffee as I'm driving home after the gig) sounds like a great plan.

Marty - you may thank me now but you'll be cursing me after the event - I believe you have give yourself 'the shift pattern from hell' in order to attend this.

BTW - did I mention the fee would be to pack me in your case to Greece!!! - May have to explain that one to your wife!!

All joking aside - I'm just glad we are getting some real SMF's to the show - although I believe from one of Dee's tweets today the band are only playing 3 songs (mind you if that is the 11 minute version of It's Only Rock n Roll, the 15 min version of INGUN and 10 min version of WNGTI or IWR - I'll take it!!!!!).
