Extreme SMF Posts: 132 | OMG - this is sheer unbelievable !!!!! Having only ever had the chance to listen to that show before it's so great to actually SEE that performance now. What a historical document. The band is absolutely ON FIRE. I have never seen a band so determined to win over a crowd that' not theirs and to see how they actually succeeded in the end is second to none. Twisted Sister definitely was (and still is) the only band on this planet who could've done that, so from me.................hats off 29 years later ;-). There's just one thing I'm wondering: did Dee's introduction/rant before "Shoot 'em down" get cut out ? I would have to dig out my tape of that show to be sure but maybe someone here on the board knows. I'm quite sure that it was Reading, where Dee dedicated this song "....to the British soldiers who fought in the Falklands and........*censored*....." If they actually did cut this out I would understand because they are quite big in the South American countries these days but maybe I'm also wrong and it was another show. Does anyone know for sure ???? OK, time to go and put the DVD in again :-) Take care SMF, Germany

Thanks for your confirmation, I'm glad to see that I'm not totally demented yet ;-). I totally understand the reasons for omitting this on the DVD even though I would say - that was then and now is now - the world has become a different one and also opinions definitely have changed since then, but so what...................the band decided to keep this out of the DVD and we'll have to accept that. I can live very well with a 99% complete performance of that show. I just wish I had been there............... Stay sick, stay twisted SMF, Germany

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 406 | Finally seen the DVD - thanks everyone for letting us have this. Obviously Wrexham 82 was the band's debut performance - but this performance (recorded by the BBC and put out on Tommy Vance's The Friday Rock Show) really put the band on the map. Love the backline roadies - they were Secret Records employees or Expolited backline guys - they are wearing TS shirts but have English punk mohawk hairstyles :-) :-) Love the interviews - the rider - the English sandwiches, the kebabs and the "hamburgers". Also the Battle, barn recording memoirs. The cd is still is in the car - and will be blasting all the way up to Download next weekend :-) Edited by Dan Bach 2011-06-04 9:45 AM

The interviews were awesome and the stories were great but I lost it when Eddie started talking about the "Butt Biscuits", I lost it!!! Friggin' hilarious!!! I've actually been to Battle many times. My wife's family lives in Hastings just south of there. I might have to see if I can find that barn on my next trip to England. LOL!!!!

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 891 Location: Dream Street | I'm saving this one for Xmas! I never know what to ask for and it's perfect. I remember as a kid getting "Come Out and Play" under the tree. How fun to relive tearing open a gift to find TS once again! :D

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 2072 | seems this CD?DVD is selling well at least at J&R in Manhattan. I got my copy on May 31 from J&R and there were a bunch of copies in the store. After i received my order from Amazon this week, i needed a few more copies for a party this weekend, and stopped by J&R and i took the last 3 copies off the shelf. I hope it's selling well everywhere. It's truly AMAZING. The CD sounds great, the DVD is GREAT...the interviews put it over the top. Makes you proud to be an SMF Thank you guys
