Full-On SMF Posts: 56 | Here is a HIGH quality audience recording of the show. I just got done listening to it and it's awesome. The taper has done lots of shows by lots of bands, and he uses top of the line equipment. Go to the URL below for your free download of the complete performance. If you're not already a member of dimeadozen, you'll have to register. Be aware though that the site is usually maxed out with almost 100,000 members (I have downloaded, and also seeded back, more than 500 GB of unofficial audio and video recordings since late 2004 from dimeadozen). They delete inactive accounts on a daily basis though so, if you can't register, keep trying every few minutes or whatever, and a slot will eventually open up for you. If you're unfamiliar with downloading uncompressed FLAC files and converting them to WAV files for burning to CD-R, just read the FAQ on the site. Please remember that the taper has uploaded this for fans to enjoy for free, and nobody should download it and attempt to sell copies of it for profit. http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=97442 Twisted Sister Miller Lite Stage Food Lion Speed Street 600 Festival Charlotte, NC Friday May 26, 2006 Taper: George Wang Source: DPA 4023 > Oade M148 > Mogami interconnect > Edirol R1 @ 24/44.1 Location: 10 ft left stage stack WAV > FLAC: .wav @ 24/44.1 > Steinberg WaveLab v5.00a (dither with Apogee UV22HR to 16/44.1) > CD-WAV/FLAC frontend v1.7.1 > .flac Disc One: 01: Intro - 05:28.266 02: What You Don't Know (Sure Can Hurt You) - 04:56.400 03: The Kids Are Back - 03:00.133 04: Stay Hungry - 03:20.466 05: Intro > - 02:13.000 06: Captain Howdy - 04:05.133 07: You Can't Stop Rock N' Roll - 04:28.000 08: Intro > - 03:05.133 09: The Fire Still Burns - 03:18.266 10: We're Not Gonna Take It - 07:35.200 11: Intro > - 02:02.400 12: Shoot 'Em Down - 05:00.266 13: Burn In Hell - 07:13.866 14: Intro > - 01:31.866 15: I Wanna Rock - 06:52.133 16: The Price - 04:16.466 17: Intro > - 02:58.000 18: S.M.F. - 05:35.000 Total: - 77:00.000 compiled by George Wang on 05-28-2006

Please get yourself a new signup form from the server. Any idea why, or how to get past that? Thanks Edited by C-Rod 2006-05-29 12:30 PM

Elite SMF Posts: 238 Location: Central Virginia | hey TSfansince1981, I still haven't got it but wanted to say thanks for linking that here, not just for the show itself but you've opened up something totally new to me! I really want to learn all about this stuff now! If I ever get rolling with it theres a few things I have that I'd like to share. (by the way, I'm back to the too many members again) How long will this stay up there? Untill no one is seeding it anymore right? Will the taper keep seeding it for awhile? or am I lible to miss it if I don't get it soon? P.S. you got me wondering who "the taper" was since I was at the left side front row about 10ft in front of the stacks

Full-On SMF Posts: 56 | To change FLAC to WAV so you can burn it, you need to download this - http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html As for me making MP3's out of this show, that is commonly not accepted. FLAC and WAV files are uncompressed, full sound quality. MP3's are compressed and lower the sound quality of the original recording, and most tapers do not want their recordings turned into MP3's.

Full-On SMF Posts: 56 | Luatikko - 2006-05-29 5:52 AM Hey, thanks for sharing. Great stuff and a very good sound quality too. I hope that the band don't mind that the audio of their recent gig is available on the net. I would hope they don't mind either, I wouldn't mind if I was in a band. Most bands only get upset when they lose $$$ due to downloading of ~officially~ released product. I have bought all of TS's officially released albums (in the old days, and then in later years bought again on CD). The widely accepted theory on people who collect audience recordings of a band they like, is that only big fans who buy all the official albums, also collect live bootlegs. Since this audience recording of the Charlotte 5/26/06 show is not officially released, TS isn't losing any $$$ on it. The worst case scenario is that sometimes people sell audience recordings and then someone who is not associated with a band makes $$$, but again, a band then doesn't actually lose $$$ in that case, they just don't make $$$. These days on the internet, it is becoming more and more common that people upload unofficial recordings for free download, which rocks. \m/ \m/
