Extreme SMF Posts: 124 Location: Dublin | What a show! AC/DC were brilliant on Saturday night in Dublin. I won't launch into a full review here but suffice to say that they still know how to rock. Excellent sound, vocals, props, energy, crowd were up for it and Angus can still play some great guitar. If you like a great, down and dirty rock and roll show (and lets face it you wouldn't be on this forum if you didn't) then make sure you get to see them on this tour. They aren't exactly kids anymore so who knows when/if they will tour again 5 songs from new album and a good mix of oldies. "Touch too much" and TNT amongst my favourites on the night Only small gripe was that the cannons in "for those about to rock" were a little puny.

Really good show. You say you got 'Touch Too Much' in Dublin? Lucky blighter. We didn't!

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 2072 | Saw them the on this tour in NJ and they were great. The show is amazing, the set list is good mix of the new and old. I'm hoping to see them again in NJ at the end of July.

We've got a family day out planned with the kids - we're chalking it up as a "valuable social/educational experience" for the school letters - the kids would kill us if we went without them this time!!

Tommy Aldridge broke his collarbone. I presume they won't be playing Glasgow either. Pissed off on that as they have replaced Lizzy with some indie band. Still AC/DC twice in 3 months is still great!

Yes I'd heard that - haven't heard if we're getting a replacement in Glasgow though. It's a pity 'cos we haven't seen Thin Lizzy before - tho I suppose there is always the argument that it won't be the same without Phil Lynott - still would have enjoyed seeing them all the same. Who are you getting in Dublin as replacements? P.S. - 6 days to go!! Edited by marty 2009-06-24 12:41 PM

Extreme SMF Posts: 124 Location: Dublin | They moved The Answer up to 2nd place on bill and put an indie band called the Blizzards on first. No idea what they were like though as usual shit organisation by mcd (main promoters in Ireland) meant that we had to walk last 6 miles to the gig due to traffic snarl-ups and missed their set AC/DC were brilliant again though despite MCD's best efforts to ruin it for everyone MCD and ticketmaster - the new axis of evil in Ireland!!!!

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 834 Location: Auchenblae, Scotland | Hampden, Tuesday night - what can I say.....Fan-fu8#ing-tastic!! We got the Answer (missed them) followed by The Subways (never heard of them before but not bad at all) followed by a great AC/DC show. The boys were on great form, stage show good. Set list pretty much the same as elsewhere (with the addition of Angus doing Loch Lomond - By yon bonny banks........... etc!). Crowd was on excellent form including singing the entire intro to Rosie - Brian didn't get a word in! We're all still on a high from the show!!
