Anyone pick up a copy of Chinese Democracy yet? It just went on sale today exclusively at Best Buy stores. I'm gonna pick me up one after the Cowboy's game.

i got it. one of the best albums i've heard in years. the production is outstanding and while there is no true breakout hit (that my ears hear but hey the public might like one of the songs more than me) there aren't any songs as weak as some of the use your illusion fillers. overall i'd say this is the 2nd best guns n roses album right behind appetite for destruction

I only heard 3 songs. A couple months a go a buddy sent me "Better", "This I Love..." and "If the World...". I've had time to absorb them and "Better" is the best of the bunch. I can't imagine purchasing the album unless I hear at least 3 or 4 songs are as good or better than "Better". Only time will tell.

i think "catcher in the rye" and "street of dreams" are the 2 best songs on the album if that helps

All I can say is that I am kinda disappointed with this new hyped album. {although I did hear the unfinished version when it leaked about a year ago} Guess I am too used to the "ole skool" G&R, it really is far from that, too far for me. Very different. I will give it a few more whirls though and see if I can figure it out, seems like he can't find a balance, it's confusing.

hey, that's not a bad idea at all, but I first want to go to a record shop and listen it...
just for being sure, and if i like it, I may get the rest of the people in there go buying it as well...
hope they won't go fighting, since nowdays they haven't got that much copies in store...

oh, Do you get a can soda with it? I heard something about a good deal with DR. Pepper, I like to make a poor homeless person really happy with it, since I don't drink the stuff...

I got the CD and I must say that it is truly different from the GnR sound that I had got used to back in the 80's and 90's. I am not slagging the album as there are some very good songs, but I guess that I am still old school GnR or perhaps I miss Slash, Duff and the rest. Music wise it is a good effort though, even though I cannot understand why it took 14 years
