So I get this email from a good friend. One who has been in the music biz for a long time, but I didnt know was a fan of TS. I've always believed that you are doing something right when people either love you or hate you. Ambivilence is for pussies.

gordon told me you are on that awful, pathetic twisted sister christmas
record. bro, you talk to those guys? what the fuck are they thinking????
i am a fan, but that makes me really think about things. that thing blows.
i am NOT joking pat. tell them, people do not want jingle bells, they
want under the blade. hope you have a great new year.
XXXXXX

I nearly pissed my pants when I read that.

That was a running theme in talking to Jay Jay - he kept saying that if people didn't get the inherent humor in a bunch of Jewish guys doing Heavy Metal Christmas carols, they'd have a hard time with the album.

Luckily, more and more of the people who reviewed the record seemed to get it after a while. I think the record may do as well, if not better, next year - but that's just me.

This Jewish boy enjoyed the Christmas album and the humor behind it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every year when I put up my Hanukkah bush, I'm going to be playing "A Twisted Christmas" A Happy and Twisted New Year to all!

I don't think religion matters when it comes to these secular christmas songs. It's about the spirit not the myth...except for Santa and that's about a German guy. So regardless of who who performs and who listens it's not even secondary.

And the spirit of christmas should be all year long!

Now if I could only track down the international versions with Doro and Eddie singing.

Hi Saber, see the following link (ends in just under 5hrs):

http://cgi.ebay.com/TWISTED-SISTER-A-Twisted-Christmas-2006-CD-Sealed-DORO_W0QQitemZ320068474604QQihZ011QQcategoryZ1574QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I'm guessing if it's got Doro on it it'll have Eddie as well (don't know if his song should be listed or an unlisted hidden extra like the Medoza's Choir version of "We Wish You a Twisted Xmas" was on the US version). I couldn't wait for the UK release and got a mate visiting Florida to pick one up in October, so I don't know what that version is like either!
