First off to the SMF's wanting to get together I apologize, I waited out front til like 6:20 I was freezing, my phone died and I just needed to get warm. Now on to the good stuff.
I was fortunate to get a hookup to be able to watch the from the suites on the balcony. Thanks Brian and Brett. Long way to the top rolled and I knew the time had come! Our very own Danny Stanton announced the band (HEY DANNY, DON'T THEY HAVE RAZORS IN EUROPE? LOL) The set list seemed to be the same as the Toronto show, Boy was the band on fire! Dee is undoubtedly the best frontman in music today. Having seen over 2000 shows in my time I feel I can say that safely. Dee has more energy than many frontmen 1/2 his age.
Can we talk about the Price?? Hands down the best power ballad ever. It moved me like no other time. Burn in hell?? A-MAY-ZING.
Tonight I witnessed something I had never seen before. A TS show that was not perfect. 12`DAYS OF Xmas was a clusterfuck and I LOVED IT! I'll fill in the blanks tomorrow, its late I'm tired and I have flight in a few hours. It was great and another Once in a lifetime event (that is until tuesday in LA!)

So its like 5 hours later and I should be packing, but I fear that will make this great trip end sooner than it should. Dee's stage rants were classic, Did I mention the 2 or 3 a**holes thrown out for moshing? It wasn't just moshing they were really pissing people off and on guy/girl couple tried starting a fight. This happened 2 songs into the set and Dee knew it was because of the old school/new school crowd. The show was packed JJ seemed inspired(moreso than usual!) Great to see my old buddies DJ and Brian and I cant forget Sherry the hairdresser with the amazing cleavage, man if I was only single...

less than 100 hours til LA!

Hey Saber, sorry things didn't work out as we had planned. I was looking forward to meeting you face to face. To Mitch (and Sue) and Chris, it was so much fun to hang out with you! Ryan, Matt, Don and Jason, it was nice to meet all of you!
At the beginning of the show, when Dee came out as Santa, he tossed an array of twisted party favors out into the crowd. All I will say is, candy canes were not the only festive treat being doled out last night!
I was pretty surprised to find that there was no security barrier between the crowd and the stage. I was directly up against the stage which was pretty cool. There was a lot of contact between them and the fans. I noticed that (overall) everybody was respectful of the closeness between us. When they were 12 inches away from the edge of the stage, there were hands up all around them. But, when they (mainly Jay Jay) were closer (read: on top of us), hands went down and people backed off to give them reasonable space. I think that speaks well of the relationship that Twisted Sister has with their fans.
I will second Saber's notion about Jay Jay seeming to be more "inspired" than usual! In fact, that was a topic discussed at length in the car coming home!
Heavy Metal Christmas was GREAT!! Possibly, the highlight of the night. It was nice to see AJ at the front of the stage for a change as he sang his lines.
As usual, it was TRULY an evening to remember! Another AMAZING performance which leaves me desperate to get to another show. Is Atlantic City calling my name?????

Now SMFs, if I may but my 2 cents worth into this review...LOL

My goodness, and Holy Shit is about the only way I can describe this show. It was well beyond what I had ever anticipated or expected......

I managed to get to Chicago at 5pm despite all the flight delays and cancellations. So by the time I arrived at the HOB at 7pm, I was so pissed off at all the airline bullshit. Got to meet up with a few boarders Captain Howdy Chris, TwistedBear Jennifer and her sister and was looking all over the venue for a man named Saber (Pat) but could not find him anywhere.

The HOB was simply rocking from the minute the opening act took stage. I personally didn't care for their music. In fact, I don't even remember the bands name. LOL

Once AC/DC It's a Long Way To The Top started blaring, I had a huge grin from ear to ear knowing that I was going to get to see the boys put on an absolutely amazing Christmas Show. And true to form, the boys did not disappoint!

Santa Dee comes out (Santa suit and all) and the crowd went ballistic. For a crowd size of about 500, they were all going nuts and Dee was very happy about that. Out comes candy canes among some other treats to NAUGHTY and/or NICE people....LOL

Seeing the boys so up close and personal was a treat in itself. As Jennifer just described, they were no more than 12 inches from all of us in the first row. I had goosebumps the whole friggin show...it was THAT good.

All the Christmas songs were done so elegantly...NOT! Believe me, go see the show and you'll see how Dee twists some of the words around.....Classic Dee Snider and Twisted Sister. I was hysterically laughing at this as well as his rants. The man just seems to get better and better with age! He even had MAM almost in tears with some of the shit he was saying.....MAM in tears, now thats a sight to behold....LOL Speaking of MAM, this guy nearly broke his bass guitar with his bare hands. UNBELIEVEABLE is the only word to describe how MAM shredded his bass. Jay Jay and Eddie were incredible as well. Seeing those 2 guys laughing and doing their magic was an image I'll never forget. And AJ.....simply put, the BEST! This guy rarely gets any credit, but he was smoking on those drums last night. His drum solo after Burn in Hell was simply awesome. I am just blown away by his talents each and every time I see him play.

Others beat me to the setlist, but I have to say the highlight of the night was Heavy Metal Christmas. All the boys did was just sing and laugh their ass off while doing it. Seeing them in the jolly Christmas spirit left a lasting impression on me that cannot ever be forgotten. But just seeing all 5 of them having fun was the best and well worth all the headaches I had to go through yesterday to see them...

Lastly a big shout out to Danny Stanton.....the man behind it all. Danny, a huge thank you for organizing this show and putting it all together. And by the way, nice mustache and beard you got going there....LOL Gotta admit, it was weird seeing you like that!

I am starving and craving more shows.......see you all at Starland Ballroom and Atlantic City. For those out there that are teetering on whether or not to see any shows, trust me, if you miss any shows, you WILL regret it.

Merry Twisted Christmas Everyone!

I forgeot to mention the elves... I mean roadies. The techs were dressed in elve gear including pointy shoes. It was hilarious to see the drum tech run out on full elf gear. Damn I'm still smiling and considering the ordeal getting home that is amazing. If it wasnt for the TS show on Tuesday I would probably cancel my trip to LA because I officially ahte flyine, esp inDec.

Couldn't have said it better Mitch! Not much to add other than to state that the guys put on an incredible show once again! Dee running out on stage in the Santa suit was absolutely classic! Animal was simply ridiculous as he abused that poor bass!! And I must say, he completely tears it up on the new Christmas songs! Eddie and Jay Jay sounded great as always and AJ was awesome as usual! "Heavy Metal Christmas" was hilarious!! Seeing all the guys up front trying to match the cue cards with the lyrics was hysterical!

It's just very obvious that the guys are really having fun on stage and that's great! That's what it's all about and I even enjoy the shows more because that fun is infectious. Mitch and I talked about it after the show and I honestly think I enjoy the shows more now than I did back in the 80's! Back then; it was all about being angry and pissed off. Now, it's all about having a great time! I know this is going to end at some point but as long as the boys are having fun, I hope they keep playing some shows.

It was great to hand with Mitch, Sue, Twistedbear, and her sister! A great time was had by all!!!

Thanks guys!!! You never disappoint!!! Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah!!

The Chicago show was amazing! It was quite an experience to be sooo close to the band and to hang with the "Twisted Sister family" (my sister Jennifer, Mitch, Chris, Jay Jay, Dee, AJ, Mark and Eddie. Until the next show...
