Full-On SMF Posts: 88 Location: Under the Blade | Ditto !! Well said Cyndi. My kids are really into it. It's our own little special thing right now. They like Heavy Metal X-mas & OCAYF the best. Who woulda thought, way back on the Intrepid , that we would be enjoying a Twisted X-mas ! And speaking of the Intrepid , I hope the Navy can get her out of the mud and over to the Garden State for her renovations. One thing you didn't mention, Cyndi,is the fact that the x-mas tour will bring the greatest live performance in Rock & Roll across the nation ! As far as I'm concerned that's the best thing about 'A Twisted Christmas ' See you at the Starland !

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 834 Location: Auchenblae, Scotland | Cyndi - I totally agree. I love it. It's fun, it's different and if TS are anything they're fun and different - that's the reason I enjoy them so much. Lets face it if they carried on doing the same old stuff as everyone else, how boring would that be. Pesonally I'm grateful for anything the boys want to do. If it all ends tomorrow well I'm happy for the last few years I didn't think I would ever see again - if they decide to go on a while I'll be ecstatic! (Hey whats the chance of a Twisted Easter in the UK- Ha Ha)

Nearly A Band Member Posts: 309 Location: Under the.... | Whilst I admit it's a different way to end their recording career, it's also a bold way too. I've been listening to it a lot and it's growing no me all the time. The band seem to be having fun on the record, so what does it matter if it's a Christmas covers album or an album of new material, but hey It's only Rock and Roll..but I like it.. Geek-in-Chief Posts: 606 Location: Noo Yawk | Entirely subjective. But the fact that such an endorsement comes from an organization like AP is no small thing. In terms of production, I'd stack this record up against any of TS's albums. MAM really maximized the sonic wallop on this one - I thought the same thing about the production on 'Still Hungry,' and ATC takes those production values to an even higher level. And the thing that I really enjoy about this record is that it finally shows the band's sense of humor. My theory has always been that because of a few bands that took themselves WAY too seriously (no names), all metal bands got labeled as humorless bastards. What SMFs have known forever is that besides being a kickass band, TS are also 5 of the funniest motherfuckers ever to take the stage. This album really brings that home, IMO. How could anyone hear the 'Hava Nagila' instrumental thing on the end of OCAYF and not just crack up? - D
