What weekend. got up at 4 am on friday to get to the airport. Went out to vegas to see van helsings curse.
I think this will be my fourth time seeing the show. Got to vegas around 10:30. went to get a bite to eat .
Went over to the hardrock and saw cooch. helped him find his hotel. lounged at the pool. went back over to the hardrock around 6. recieved a call to come down to the venue. . Had fun hanging out watching sound check
and meeting the crew. A lot of work goes into making the show as good as it is. The place filled up very nice. The show was great. The crowd was really into it. Made lots of noise between songs. The highlight for me was the addition
of dee singing cry little sister from the lost boys soundtrack. It was amazing. They had zombies take a girl out of the a crowd and took her onstage. She was part of the show but it was still cool. she was tied to a piece of wood and raised off the stage while dee sang to her.
Took very few pics because i was so caught up in watching the show. There was a meet and greet after the show. not a vip or radio staion thing. Anyone who wanted could stay and meet the cast of the show. I think i slept for 3 hours then had to get back to nyc for another concert. Did not get home until until 530 am sunday morning. was nice to
tell people when they asked what i did this weekend. I said, vegas and nyc. The pics i did take i will try to have cyndi
post them for me. stay sick joe rock

Right on Rocker! Way to Represent!

Van Helsing is in my CD player (yes I know i need an iPod) and will be through Halloween. Twisted Xmas just fell flat after a couple days. Maybe the live show will bring it to life.

Hey,

Just writing to second the opinion that Van Helsing's Curse is the coolest thing happening anywhere in music today.

What a jaw-droppingly powerful, unique, DARK show! It's pure genius.

This was my second time seeing them (first was last January at the NAMM show). I had a similar breakneck schedule like Joe Rock: Drove away from LA at 1pm Friday, got to Vegas around 7pm, got to the show a little early and chatted with Cooch (which I guess is part of the experience, just based on Joe and my nights), stared in slack-jawed amazement during the 90 minute show, hung around for an hour or so afterwards talking to folks, slept from midnight until 4am when I had to get up and get back on the road to get to a seminar Saturday morning...back in LA!

WELL worth all the effort! Wherever they play next year (and hopefully that's multiple locations), I'll be there.

My only regret was not being able to stay for the Saturday night show where Dee and Suzette did a 25-year wedding vow reaffirmation ceremony, lead by Penn Gilette of Penn & Teller. Did any of you see that? I'd love to hear how it went!!!

Magician Penn Jillette was the one that married them. Van Helsing’s Curse and Dee himself both performed after. It was at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Resort Las Vegas.

Thanks, Cyn!!! Seems you're great at the art of digging up pictures. Those are the first I've seen. I'm still sad that I wasn't able to stay for that night, but now at least I've seen the event.....

You're welcome Dave! Yep, I am SMF "link" woman! LOL....I must have been a photographer in a past life! HAHA...

I really enjoyed seeing those photo's. What a special night it must have been. Too bad you couldn't have stayed. I bet more reviews and pic's will turn up sooner or later. I will keep and eye out.
