I bought this blind because a friend had heard good things about it (he hadn't even heard it himself!). It turned out to be one of the best stabs in the dark I have ever made when it comes to buying a metal album. Their sound is being compared to that of Sonata Arctica, and while there are certainly similarities, Winterborn is a band that not only stand on their own will be huge within the progressive and power metal scenes. The musicians are all talented, but that doesn't mean jack if the songs aren't memorable. Luckily, Winterborn know to deliver great songs with magnificent hooks. I wholeheartedly recommend this album.
