Well, you are entitled to your opinion, but I really hate it when CD's are recorded from vinyl records. CD's are supposed to be made from the master tapes. If I want to hear vinyl pop sounds then I will listen to vinyl records. At least there should be a sticker on the CD cover that says "mastered from vinyl" or something. The record companies really think that record buying people are stupid enough not to notice the difference.

Yes, I know that the YCSRNR "remaster" is the only place where you can get Feel The Power, Four Barrel Heart Of Love and One Man Woman on CD, it's just that the whole thing is recorded from vinyl. For most people that will suffice, but not for the hardcore fans who grew up with the original.

It's a bad thing that Atlantic Records won't give the TS back catalogue a real remastering treatment. Granted, Twisted never sold as many records as Led Zeppelin or AC/DC but I'm sure the remasters would sell enough to make that worthwhile. TS really is a band for the outcasts, and TS are treated like outcasts among the record companies.

That's all for now.

Hey Rami, I would have to agree with you 100% about record labels mastering CDs from vinyl. I think it's BS. I just was pointing out to the folks that want the original mix of "Under the Blade" that there was actually a way to get it on CD without paying through the nose. I'd much prefer a version taken from the masters but since that version is out of print and I can't afford to pay crazy sums of money, I'll take what I can get. Just passing it on so you know where I'm coming from.

As for "YCSRNR", you think that the remaster was from vinyl?? Where did you hear that? That remaster doesn't sound like it came from vinyl at all to me. It sounds very clean. I actually had the original version as well and think the remaster sounds cleaner, bigger, and fatter than the original CD version. I think that album was probably played more than any other album in my collection when it came out on vinyl and I thought the original version on CD sounded a bit flat and that the highs and lows weren't there. To each his own, I guess. You can't go wrong with either one because it's such a friggin' kick ass record. If that remaster is actually mastered from vinyl, I'm really surprised. I had know idea that it was.
