Location: Auchenblae, Scotland | 'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse,
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there,
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
Then out on the lawn arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter,
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
When, what my wondering eyes did see,
Was a man dressed in pink calling himself Dee,
With him out in the snow and all in bright colour,
Stood a band who all began to holler.
There was Jay Jay and Fingers o’er on the right,
And Mark playing the bass with all of his might,
And way at the back raised up on a stand,
Sat AJ – the drummer in the band,
I rubbed my eyes with growing wonder,
As the music increased to an incredible thunder,
I woke up the wife, the children as well,
And we headbanged ‘till dawn and the peel of a bell.
Then the singer did pause and said “we must leave”,
But don’t you fret, you’ve got to believe,
That if you behave and be of good cheer,
ME AND THE BAND WILL COME BACK TO THE UK NEXT YEAR!!
Then along came a sleigh with a little old driver in his coat so bright,
And we heard as they flew off and headed out of sight
"A TWISTED CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT."
