To me it sounds as if it was thrown together rather qickly. Dee obviously put his good mind to work on Van Helsing's Curse and it shows. As these 2 albums are holiday albums, one is obviously far superior to the other. TS Xmas is ok. Above average? That's subjective. I for one think it's below average considering what they're capable of. I think some people just drool over anything they release. Not the proper POV to judge any artist's work. J. Mathis' Xmas album is legendary. Some of MSR is really good. Some of it sucks. TSO is generally ass kicking. Gary Hoey's very cool.

TS...love them to death...but this album does get a bit mundane. It's fun but nothing spectacular. But at the same time I don't believe they were going for anything ground breaking. They were just having a good time and that's what it sounds like.

There are a few really cool tunes but some others urge me to hit the skip button. I give a 'B-'.

Van Helsing's Curse gets a solid 'A'
