The best version of You Can't Stop Rock 'N' Roll CD is the original on the Atlantic label. That one doesn't have the three bonus tracks but it is the real deal. The Spitfire 1999 "re-issue" is mastered from vinyl... Haven't heard any of the Demolition 2006 versions so I have no comment on those.

Love Is For Suckers is the only one of the Spitfire re-issue CD's that I recommend as it as has four bonus tracks and the sound quality is pristine.

Yes, there are two different mixes of Under The Blade: the original 1982 European version and the 1985 American re-mix version. The original European CD on Secret/Virgin, Roadrunner or Intercord labels are really tough to find, try Ebay. The best version of the re-mix CD is the 1997 Japanese one.

Hope this helps.

I personally prefer the remaster of "You Can't Stop Rock and Roll". It's not really "remixed" as it's just re-mastered so it's still the original mix but it's cleaner and all the highs and lows are re-stored that really don't come through as well on the original version. That's just my opinion anyway. With that being said, I think the remaster is worth it just for the 3 bonus tracks as this is the only place you can get these b-sides from the old vinyl days and "Feel The Power" is one of my favorite TS tunes!!!! Definately should have made it to an album!

A side not on "Under the Blade". The UK version of the Spitfire "UTB" is actually the original mix" It's even got the original cover and does not include "I'll Never Grow Up, Now!" the same as the original vinyl. I personally much prefer the original mix than the US remix so I grabbed this when I had the chance. It's actually readily availaby in the UK at the low price of only 7.99 (pounds) when I found it. They had 4 of them on the shelf at the Virgin store in London that I was in. I'm pretty sure that it was converted right from vinyl actually because there's a couple of places where I'm pretty sure I can hear a record pop. Those of you that are old enough to own vinyl know the sound well! If you want this one, make sure the "Twisted Sister" logo and name on the front is in blue. Not the one in Yellow! That's the remix. (I've got both.)
