| I heard Dee's quote, it didn't make sense (since, according to http://www.twistedsister.com/sistory-1.html , Dee was not in the band when the name was chosen), but Altini's version makes much more sense.
Although I never saw the Good Rats play, I understand that they had a song that had the lyrics "Twisted Mothers, Twisted Brothers, Twisted Sisters". Perhaps the drunk original singer was listening to a Good Rats tape...
