| wow! it's brilliant, absolutely wonderful that the GODFATHER of THE SMFS(I liked the "italian mafia" characterization for the smfs by an smf in this thread) got in contact with the people who love him, ADORE actually him and the band in general. 
what I have to say about Dee's confession on the slamboard:I am surprised that you Dee, one of the greatest metal icons ever, give too much notice and attention on negative comments about you and your band.WHYYYYYYYYYY???  I know from your message that you've been doing this from the past but there's one thing that is unfortunately true: YOU SHOULD EXPECT THIS(=negative comments). do you know why? because since you took the decision to dress yourself in women's clothes back in years, you should know that a large number of people(and yes many metalheads)would never "forgive" you for that , no matter how great as a singer and artist you are.You are the greatest frontman that exists (objectively) now but this is still not enough for some people who are prejudiced and have certain ideas stuck in their minds.Unfortunately you but also my fellow smfs have to face the fact that the appearance of the decadent drag queen that you chose(I've never had problem with that although I admit I was shocked at first) have made you the black sheep of metal and a common target for negative comments.it is something that you and we the smfs have to bear.On the other hand, you should get in touch with your smfs more because we are the people who support you and your band. your songs are not just songs but many of them express a way of life.please, don't get pissed off with people who don't give you the credit you deserve. just ignore them.you should think that we(the smfs) are the "other side"=the people who looked beyond your weird looks and loved you and became your fans because you are a f***ing great band. we don't care what certain people say because they can't change our mind for you.I have written all these, having in mind that most of the negative comments on twisted sister I have heard or seen are for their weird, androgynous appearance on stage, that's at least 90% the source of them. DEE, DON'T GET HURT BY ANYTHING 'CAUSE WE, YOUR SMFS LOVE YOU. GET IN TOUCH WITH US MORE OFTEN BECAUSE THAT ELEVATES YOU MORE IN OUR MINDS | |
