Location: Toronto, Canada | 1987 would have been the Love is for Suckers tour, which was a very brief tour due to the band splitting and never made it to Canada. Really the same for Come Out & Play. They had a Toronto date scheduled but it was cancelled. They finally came back to Toronto on the first tour for the Christmas album (2005 I think) but that was the only Canadian date for that tour that I recall. So yes, this would be the first time in Montreal since the Stay Hungry tour.
I don't know what you mean by it will be different with Metallica playing. Different from what? As for getting front row - good luck, not if you like your life. It is a big open grass area, general admission, no seats just standing. When I went to see Maiden, while I waited for them to come on, I was about "20 rows" from the stage. As soon as their intro music came on the audience started surging forward - quickly. I had two choices - be suffocated and trampled - or get the hell out of there. I took the latter option and watched from the side of the huge crowd! |
