I haven't been to a show since the Vegas Xmas shows some years back but I am debating on flying out from California for the starland show. Please convince me people!

First...the charity show was only 45 minutes because it was a charity show and there were other bands coming on after Twisted Sister, so you didn't get a full set. It was a charity show! (AND it still kicked ass, by the way)

Secondly....Twisted Sister has not made any announcements yet as to what gets played, so there's NO word on if this will be full Stay Hungry set or if there will be lots of other Twisted goodies--I wouldn't jump to any conclusions. Maybe we'll hear from Jay Jay if Manhattan ever digs out of the snowstorm.

Thirdly...you can't go wrong with either show. The Starland Ballroom has been completely re-done after Hurricane Sandy, I've heard on good authority that the sound there is better than ever. PLUS...there will be some great artists playing with TS that night--it should be a FANTASTIC show. New Jersey fans love their metal and the last time I was at the Starland, it was loud and energetic. Rocklahoma is obviously a draw--not only for TS (who sadly, will not be the headliner this time) and there are lots of other incredible bands playing--so lots of bang for your buck if your excuse is "why fly for just 60 minutes of TS". (bring a hat and sunscreen--Oklahoma is a tad warm!) And OK is closer to CA but remember in your travel costs that you'll need to likely get a rental car.

AND last but not least, I'm sorry Rock10 doesn't feel that it's worth the trek from California to see "Stay Hungry" live (You're wrong....it's SO worth the trek...) Obviously I'm completely biased, but I'll just say this. Domestic U.S. tour dates have historically been less plentiful than International tour dates, and we've seen it so many times--fans wishing they had just doled out the dollars for a chance to see Twisted Sister live. Ten years from now, I'll bet if I asked you if you remembered the show, you'll be able to recall all the details with a smile on your face. But if I ask you in 10 years, what you spent that money on instead... you likely won't even recall. I missed a December mortgage payment to catch a single show-- essentially an overnight stay, from Baltimore MD to Sweden (via NJ) -- AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT! I don't do this for any other band because no other band is as good live as Twisted Sister. Period. No regrets, my babies. Go forth and ROCK!
