Dee's ego over all has hurt the band in my opinion.I can remember back in 1980 at a club called the soap factory when he started yelling at the band onstage, about let's get with it, I'm kicking ass here and you're not! When they hit it big, instead of staying to the course,he wanted to move on and make solo albums, like LOVE IS FOR SUCKERS.I don't think the split was they hated each other,i think it was the four hating him! To this day the band would probably play alot more gigs at club's because they just love to play music, where he's more focused on his project's.
Wow. On the Brooklyn Odyssey video from 1980, he tells Eddie Ojeda, "You should be on the stage." On a recording from Rochester on the Stay Hungry Tour he tells A.J. to stop playing, and A.J. ends his drum solo early. In the Behind the Music episode, A.J. says that Dee was abusive.
