RE: Just finished Dee's Book...
Location: Baltimore, MD
I enjoyed the first half of the book--I've said it here before, had a tough time reading about the decline, so I hope that Dee will write a second book about the rise back up. I give Dee props for openly admitting his role in destroying Twisted in the mid 80's, and as his intro said--his book is just one view of 5. I'm sure when Jay Jay writes his book, we'll get another side of the story. What is so significant to me is how in spite of all that happened--today they are playing and working together. There have been times when it has brought tears to my eyes, when I see the chemistry still between them. A band breaking up is a lot like the damage of a divorce
( with all of us SMFs as the kids, I suppose!
). In Twisted's case they were able to do what so many bands
) can never do--reconcile and play again.
And seriously--they are playing at a level today that is greater if not better than how they played in the 80's.
