Here is the reality kiddies

Poison/Bret doesn't play the festival circuit in Europe because they havent sold very many records there and nobody knows them. that's why we never see them there.

We have now played over 130 shows since the reunion began 10 years ago. We have headlined over 70 of the worlds biggest festivals in 10 countries during this time. Many of the bands that we have headlined over have sold way more albums then us, by far.

So... the question is: Why does Twisted Sister headline the worlds biggest festivals over many bands that have outsold them?

The answer is;

We are one of the very select few bands in the entire world who promoters trust to get the best fan reaction and make their festival a success. If we are on the bill, it means that the festival is real and meaningful. It is an honor to have that kind of reputation. It began after (according to the reviews, dont get mad at me) we wiped Slayer off the map at Wacken when we closed the festival (Germany's largest metal fest) in 2003 after filling in for Iced Earth. No one expected it. everybody was shocked....except us.
The promoter of Bang Your Head told the promoter at Wacken that we had just put on the greatest show in the history of BYH and that he should trust him that we would do well.
That was the turning point. That is why most well known bands don't even want to play on the same day as us. It's an honor to know that our live show is that intimidating. PS. If you think this is an egotistical statement just know that we welcome the challenge by anyone. If you can take us live, have at it. So far I have seen nothing that has even raised mu pulse past 72 beats a minute. Not one band. Dont get me wrong. i enjoy the bands we play with but from a pure reaction standpoint, there has never been a contest since we have reformed. Not close, by anyone.

We are considered by the worlds biggest festival promoters as the best live act they have ever seen. This happens year after year with every show our reputation only gets bigger and it's a testament to our professionalism and passion that we have been able to increase our legendary live status year after year.

At some point it will end. i hope we know when to leave before the fans know it......Apparently no has told the Stones to go away, They put on the worst show I have ever seen by a major act in my life when I was them last December.

Watching Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards trying to play guitar is like being driven on a tour bus by Ray Charles and Jose Feliciano...without as GPS. Pathetic beyond words.
