| We were asked what time slot we wanted to go on. We said about 10, 10:30 latest. It was our choice
In Europe, many times there are bands that go on after the headliner or headliners switch times because it is getting too late and they feel that the crowd is getting burnt out, or they have to fly to another show the next day
In 2009 ZZ Top headlined over us at Sweden Rock. Then, at the last minute, they decided that they wanted to go on at 8 pm, not 10 pm. They switched it around. we closed it. All good....we love those guys
Bret was foolish to insist on closing at M3. I know that he regretted the decision
Whitesnake and us did that to Queensryche several years ago in Spain. We all wanted to go on earlier and we both made QR close the show. QR wasn't happy about it either! They wound up going on at 4am!
It doesn't really matter anymore because any band going on after us is really in a losing position. Many fans either boo or leave. | |
