here are my opinions on the festival. i only went saturday so no clue what happened friday night:
Mainstage
-Korupt- no clue who they were but were decent
- Love/Hate- these guys rock. Always have always will. Shame it’s not really LOVE/HATE but the singer and some well known l.a. musicians
-Steelheart- big fan and their singer had one of the top 3 voices at the festival this year but the setlist was weak and I really never got into it
-Trixter- saw them 3 years ago at M3 at they were good. Because the rest of the day were bands that were “must see” I got lunch here. I heard them though and the singers voice was louder in the mix this time which made it sound better. Heard they had some technical issues though
-JSRG- vixen minus the original guitar player. Sounded exactly the same as the albums from 20 years ago. Enjoyable. The singer nailed it and good setlist for the limited time they had
-Loudness- easily one of the top bands of the day. I knew very little about these guys and they hit it out of the ballpark. The singer could have been a little louder in the mix but other than that great.
-Steel Panther- these clowns took up space for a real band. Waste of time
-Twisted Sister- they were great. First time seeing them without the makeup. I think the shorter set time took away from the experience a bit as Dee had less time to interact with the crowd which is a big part of what makes them great. Like they played “I Believe in Rock nRoll”
-Bret Michaels- left after 4 songs. No reason he should have closed. I heard 3 poison songs, all 3 sounded worse then when poison plays them despite having 2 guitar players on stage instead of just CC. they also played a lynyrd skynyrd cover which I am seeing them in july so no reason to hear bret butcher it.

Overall mainstage was great but they could have cut bret michaels and steel panther and given more time to loudness and twisted sister.

Side stage
-Street light circus- didn’t see them
-Tuff- got the crowd going early in the day. Solid set but wish they had longer.
-Great White – Jack Russell was pretty much spot on. Sounded more like Great White then the other version touring which is the rest of Great White with a different singer.
-Kings X- great band. Very underrated but they seemed to not be turned up loud enough. Almost like they weren’t being put through the sound system.
-Firehouse- great as always. I am friends with the drummer and have seen them several times. He is one of the hardest hitting drummers around. The setlist could use a shake up but still solid
- Jackyl- have wanted to see these guys for a long time. If you are into old school hard rock, think redneck AC/DC, these guys still have it. Very fun and the lead singer really worked the crowd. Only thing the last song either they blew a fuse or the festival cut the lights on them for going over. Not sure which one as I have heard both.

the food was way over priced
