| He can probably take a bus from Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan that goes into NJ and down along Route 9, an NJ Transit bus. I know there are bus routes that run down that highway; Route 9 goes into and through Freehold. From wherever the bus stops, it will be a short, manageable cab ride to the venue.
If he prefers to take a train, take an NJ Transit train (the North Jersey Coast Line) from Penn Station in Manhattan to the Belmar NJ train station, and then a cab ride to Freehold (which will be longer and more expensive than taking a cab from the bus station). Those are really the only mass transit options . | |
