To each their own I guess but I find it pretty pathetic that you would give up listening to one of your favorite bands simply because the singer has a view that you disagree with. People disagree on things every single day. That is the basic problem with politics in general these days. The significant majority of people refuse to even listen to or contemplate another point of view. That's why we have a constant stalemate and can't get anything done in our government. It's a bunch of self-righteous self-serving people in a position of power that are looking out for nothing but their own gain. Looking out for what is actually best for this country is so far down on their priority list, it's ridiculous.

If these people would actually sit down at a table to talk things out and actually give an ounce of thought to the other sides opinion, they might actually be able discuss a compromise and accomplish some good but they don’t and they won’t.

By reacting like this and cutting off your nose to spite your face, you're not hurting anyone but yourself by denying yourself the enjoyment of Twisted Sister's music and live shows. You're choice. Dee isn’t going to be negatively impacted by your stance. Just my opinion of course but that’s how I feel.

Everyone gets so uptight about politics. In the end I’ve yet to meet a politician that I trust further than I can throw them (from either side of the aisle) so it blows me away how passionate people continue to get in support of these people and their parties. Your refusal to even hear or accept Dee’s point of view or reason for requesting that his song not be used makes you just another sheep in the political machine that only follows the party line. Again, just my opinion and you haven't stated your actual reasons so I can't make any other judgment.

For the record, I tend to be conservative in nature as well but that doesn’t mean that I blindly follow every conservative politician and everything they stand for. There’s just as many idiots on the republican side of the aisle as there are in the democratic side of the aisle. This will probably start a huge debate but we’d be better served to actually listen to both sides of the aisle and get our facts straight. Then vote for the person who we think can actually make some positive change. The problem is that the significant majority of Americans simply vote right down the party line and therein lies the problem. That’s why nothing will ever change.

Some may call this a pessimistic view and it probably is. I’m just too fed up with the direction our country is going to be optimistic about anything our government does these days. But I'm certainly not going to shoot myself in the foot and deny myself one of the simple pleasures I have in life just because a member of my favorite band doesn't support someone that I do in a political campaign or because he's got a different opinion than I do. When it comes right down to it, it's simply 2 different opinions. Who's to say which is right and which is wrong? They are simply different.

Sorry for the rant.
