I could not have said this any better, thank you so much Terry.......deep in my heart I feel the same way. I've said it before, I support EVERYTHING the boyzz do..WHY? Because they deserve/earned it. I bow down to them for saving my life giving me courage and strength not only once but twice....during suckass highschool & second during a diagnosis of the big "C" in 2003-then treatment into 2004. As a loving daughter of a Marine, Semper Fi! "Always Faithful"........."Always Loyal". Now and forevermore. That is how I see/feel it.

As for "I AM, I'M ME"...it's my fav song and could care less if it had no musical chordes....the lyrics rule my heart. As for all the statistics, pfffttt..honestly. Who gives a flyin' poop?

Jaysin--

I actually have NO idea what you are fired up about. Honestly, I just don't.

I agree AND disagree with you--
Agree that Dee Snider had a lot to do with the band's success and popularity. Just like a star quarterback may lead a team to the Super Bowl, it is still the teamwork that wins the big dance (no pun intended). And I'm not sure that Twisted would have been successful with any other frontman.

That said....
Because of my love for TS, it has made me profoundly appreciate the individual talents of the band. I went out and bought "Cities" because I love AJ's drumming. I went back and listened to the Dictators because M.A.M. is the best damn bassist I've ever seen. I love Eddie's solo work, and should Jay Jay venture out, I'd certainly follow his efforts as well. To me, they are five outstanding talents who together form the perfect storm of live heavy metal music.

The public? I do love Twisted Sister getting "exposure" these days-- it is not 1984 anymore. In the 80's, TS got mentioned in the news for their music being used by the military as a weapon. Now, TS music is heard in sets all over the world thru Betty White's sitcom, Wendy's Commercials and yes, the dreaded Dancing With the Stars. Every time I heard WNGTI on Wal Mart, Wendy's and even that women's hygiene product commercial...it made me smile. TS does that to me.

Do I care if America likes it? Of course not. But I do like that America HEARS it. The way that my own father wanted to be sure that I was exposed to opera and classical music as a child, I DO want American audiences that have never heard Twisted before, have exposure to it and perhaps spark a renewed interest in their music, popular tunes and oldies alike.

I see many of us SMFs as heavy metal ambassadors--every where I go, I wear the Twisted colors. I recently commissioned a special hot pink and black paracord (military cord) bracelet for my wrist....and the hot pink shoelaces are back into my black sneakers. When I wear them out and about, people and stop and ask me the significance.....and I get a chance to share with them my love for Twisted Sister. I sent them here--to the website--and to youtube to check out old clips of past concerts. I know you share my love for Twisted Sister, Jaysin...but I have a sincere desire to share that passion with the world, as hokey as that sounds.

As for your comments re: I Am, I'm Me-- my favorite TS song-- If it has two chords, those two chords are in the key of "Kick" and "Ass." The Ramones and the Sex Pistols used three chords their entire careers--doesn't diminish their work in my eyes.

The longer TS music is out there in circulation, the longer (perhaps) the band will play shows to adoring masses. I want TS to live on long past the days when the band has put their suitcases in the closet.

Long Live Twisted Sister!
