Dee Snider is a true renaissance man.

Not only has Snider been the iconic frontman of the mighty Twisted Sister, he's also a published author (1987's Dee Snider's Teenage Survival Guide), actor and screenwriter (1998's Strangeland), and in the last few years, a reality show star (Growing Up Twisted, Celebrity Apprentice).

Snider might have recently celebrated his 57th birthday, but the Long Island-based singer is showing no signs of slowing down. On May 8, the singer will release Dee Does Broadway, a solo album where the Twisted Sister rocker gives a new spin to classic from The Great White Way. The new album will coincide with the release of Snider's first ever autobiography, Shut Up and Give Me the Mic.

In an attempt to class Noisecreep up, we're proud to bring you the exclusive premiere of Snider's cover of "I Get a Kick Out of You."

Listen to "I Get a Kick Out of You" From Dee Snider

"I Get a Kick Out of You" was written by Cole Porter and first appeared in the 1934 musical, Anything Goes. The song has also been covered by everyone from Frank Sinatra and Billie Holiday to Dolly Parton and Peggy Lee.

Dee Does Broadway was spawned from a number of voicemails exchanged featuring "Broadway Tunes" sung as messages between Dee Snider and Alice Cooper in 2009 and Dee's 2010 Broadway run in the rock musical Rock of Ages. Inspired to take this musical journey, the classically trained countertenor (who sang with his high school choir and always loud as hell) Snider enlisted producers Bob Kulick and Brett Chassen (whom Dee worked with on the metalized Frank Sinatra tribute called Sin-atra). The album was mixed by the legendary Ric Wake and Gustavo Celis, and features the incredible orchestrations and playing by the renowned composer/arranger Doug Katsaros and the bass guitar playing of one of rock's prolific players, the legendary Rudy Sarzo. The amazing guitar and drum work was all by co-producers Bob Kulick and Brett Chassen

'Dee Does Broadway' will be out May 8 via Razor & Tie.
