Nothing says the holidays like a fluffy blonde wig and lots of makeup. Twisted Sister rocked New York City fans at the Best Buy Theater on Dec. 17 with a very memorable Christmas extravaganza.

Frontman Dee Snider was carried out on stage by a few lovely females dressed in scanty reindeer outfits. Snider donned a Santa outfit, which he auctioned off at the end of the night for a good cause.

The iconic band, who happens to be New York natives, performed an eclectic set which included classic Twisted Sister tunes such as ‘Destroyer,’ ‘You Can’t Stop Rock & Roll,’ ‘I Wanna Rock’ and ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ among many others.

They also played many Christmas songs off of their 2006 holiday album ‘A Twisted Christmas.’ Metal heads belted out ‘Deck the Halls,’ ’Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ and ‘Oh Come All Ye Faithful’ just to name a few. For more fun, a couple of elves unleashed soap suds and covered fans during a performance of ‘White Christmas.’

Snider looked and sounded impeccable, his energy and stage presence as vibrant as ever. The band’s chemistry and antics on stage were undeniable as they had fans singing and smiling all throughout the night.

Soulful rock/pop band Jac & Jill opened up the show with a decent set and they even performed a rendition of the Foo Fighters hit ‘Best of You.’

It’s becoming a well-known fact that Twisted Sister can be counted on to make the typically overplayed Christmas tunes bearable this time of year. They left New York City fans dreaming of a heavy metal Christmas.
