So true Marty. I heard "Long Way..." on the radio a few weeks ago, and that opening chord made my heart skip a beat! Like a Pavlovian response to a bell.

I see us as Heavy Metal ambassadors, and everywhere I go, people stop to ask me about my jacket. It's amazing how many people out there have a Twisted Sister story. In contrast, if you ask them about....[fill in the blank of another 80's heavy metal band of your choosing] you are not likely to get the same result.

I went shopping on Sunday for my nephew and niece's holiday gifts. I went to a local Wal Mart, and must have been stopped at least three times by customers and employees, who wanted to tel me their "story" about Twisted Sister. I left and went into Michael's to get some posters framed and matted, and ended up having a conversation for about 20 minutes with the framers, who wanted to hear about what Twisted Sister was up to these days. It usually starts with "OH! I LOVED that band in high school....." or "I still have Stay Hungry on vinyl".... and ends with "Are they STILL together? Where are they playing?" I went into Sports Authority....where the staff asked to photograph my vest, and then said, "I have about ten friends I have to email this to!" I tried to talk them into calling in sick on Saturday and coming to NYC.....

People always are fascinated by and want to talk about Twisted Sister, which I'm always happy to do--after all, it's my favorite topic of conversation!
