Yeah! Of course it is... but going by what you have to do to get a Visa you would think there is still an iron curtain! It's easier getting into Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand and so on, than to get into a supposedly almost european country! You need pictures, an invitation, travel insurance, have to register yourself once you get to your destination, have to de-register yourself before leaving and so on.... germans have to show their paycheck, proof of residency in their country and so on! On top of the flight, which did cost 180 €, I had to pay another 150 € to get that Visa. It's ridiculous really! It only segregates them from the rest of the world. I only need to fill out an online form to go to the USA.
In fact for me is easier to get to Thailand or Viet Nam than to Austria. I did the same (pics, insurance, etc) as you did, when I went to Wien last year. And a Visa was 80 Euros. + tickets of course. Talking about iron curtain, Snider still thinks that we don't speak english here in Russia. By the way the gig was great yesterday. They should have visited us earlier, no f'''ing curtains. ROCK'N'ROLL everybody!! |
