Guys

Terry...agreed. Although as Dee gets some of the "distractions" done with....eg the TV show, Rock of Ages...and as some work and some do not (he dropped the reality show himself I believe) he will hopefully keep the "basics" like TS going, simply because its "bread and butter" work, keeping the back catalog moving etc. TS feeds in well with the House of Hair, so it might just propel the whole thing along. But you are right....it only takes one, and I think Dee is the most likely. But also remember he kept things going even as a solo artist....Dee Sniders SMF's etc. He is...after all...a singer. And good singers find it hard to give up.

As for the 40 year thing, I take your point. But I am not going to split hairs. There was activity....re-releases, "Best of''s " etc. The same happened to Aerosmith, who's career was revived by...of all things....pairing up with a rap group (Run DMC and "Walk This Way) Up to that, Aerosmith were has beens, strung out on drugs and scandal. They really earned the moniker the Toxic Twins etc. Look at Motley Crue now. Bursts of activity, with long periods of silence (and more scandal) inbetween.. I guess my point is that at forty years, the band gets together and still go out and play their asses off....just like the Stones, Aerosmith, ZZ Top etc, etc. I wasn't debating the amount of activity. Just the fact they are still out there. How do you define it really? You can't. Except by saying...they are still out there.

At the end of the day, we are all guessing. We are all dreading the day. However, there are some realities to the deal which keep the band coming back. So called "hair bands...heavy metal...whatever you want to call it...is still in a huge revival...(look at the new material from Whitesnake and Def Leppard...outstanding stuff. As good as ever) Its still as popular as ever and the festival "circuit" is still growing and is still as enticing to bands like Twisted Sister. Especially when new festivals in new countries crop up (Greece and Russia this year!!) They have just released a revised version of Under the Blade along with a DVD of Reading...the TS machine is quite definitely active!!!! Now would not be the time to stop!! They need to plug the new releases!!!

Y'know...we should all be in a bar discussing this!!! (Whilst waiting for TS to appear on stage.......) What a discussion that would be!!

Peace people.
