Evel - 2011-05-27 6:19 PM Hey all Easy people, easy.....JJ only talks about the possibilities, not the certainties. He says it 'could' end this year (at the end of the festival season) not it 'will' end. As long as it remains interesting, fun and does not affect their respective outside interests.....we will be OK......for now. I do sense the end is in sight. Just not yet. AS JJ says, they have nothing to prove anymore. As artists, they have stretched their wings into different areas of the business, especially Dee. As new opportunities present themselves, you have to start taking note of their worth. Old interests will eventually take a back seat, especially as you get older and the ground has been covered more than once. There are a few countries they would want to visit, some more Christmas shows and then maybe some farewell gigs. I too would love the 40 year thing. Thats puts them in the same league as the Stones, Kiss, Aerosmith etc as bands with a very long history and who lasted the game. Not many bands can claim the 40 year milestone, especially in line-up terms. They have the others beat on that score. But thats hardly a reason to continue gigging. It has to be enjoyable, not a grind. It could be a long wind-down to that point, or it could be a quick goodbye and a sudden stop. I think it will be the former, not the latter. I bloody hope so anyway!! I do not think TS would do that to the fans. They would announce it, celebrate it, party like crazy and bow out with style.....with us all there. Or they may never fully retire the band...just keep the odd gig here and there.....just for kicks, for the fun, for the party. Semi retirement.....the odd festival, maybe a once a year biker type bash. A TS version of Sturgis....you never know.... gain a 'patch' every time you go.....yeah...I like that idea!! JJ...you paying attention? It will be a sad day in my life when all this ends. I wouldn't be here in the US if it wasn't for TS anthems ringing around my head. Thats a fact!! Stay Hungry was, and is, my mantra. Always will be. So...fellow SMF's....keep your fingers crossed, be thankful....and make the most of everything you have got left. The party 'aint over till the man in drag sings!! Evel Az
Hey all
Easy people, easy.....JJ only talks about the possibilities, not the certainties. He says it 'could' end this year
(at the end of the festival season

As long as it remains interesting, fun and does not affect their respective outside interests.....we will be OK......for now.
