We do have a webmaster who operates the board in his spare time, and because moderating a board takes a huge amount of time, instead, they let us post without a moderator, but it's basically the honor system. When I first joined this slamboard, it was terrible--the flaming was rampant, and it came down to physical threats between members, (ironically....one was from Poughkeepsie) Since a few of those folks got tired of stirring the shit and left, the board has been remarkably civil, fun and informative.
Look at it this way Jim-- when I saw Warrant last year at M3, I was absolutely disgusted at what they have become. Same thing with Enuff Z'nuff and Winger. Nothing but disappointment. But those bands all have fan websites with forums, packed with fans who adore them. I would never go to their site, and post that I thought they completely suck now, and what a pity they don't play how they used to. I wasn't raised in a barn.
I'm not a religious man, but since we're quoting the bible here, "As ye sow, so shall ye reap" seems appropriate as well.
I hope things settle down as you do....so we can get back to discussing the upcoming concerts, Dee appearances, band projects and pizza menus.
