I dig the following:

Twisted Sister, Trouble, TNT, Cinderella, Stryper, Dokken, Ratt, classic Kiss, Extreme, early King's X, Galactic Cowboys, Barren Cross, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Kansas, Electric Light Orchestra, Proto-Kaw, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Marshall Tucker Band, John Mellencamp, Doobie Brothers, Steve Miller Band...

To name a few.

extreme is so underrated. how they got lumped into the hair metal genre i'll never know. you know extreme are releasing a new album in 2008 and doing a tour. its cherone, bettencourt and badger from back in the day with a new drummer. extreme are in my top 20 bands no doubt. a few months ago they cracked my top 10. like i said it changes.

i saw the kiss solo album question being tossed around. my favorite is peter's. it was something different and if you like old rock and old r & b its a killer album

Yes!- Gary Cherone is a great frontman. Extreme was wrongly dumped into the hair metal hodge-podge, much like Twisted Sister. That's totally cool they're releasing a new album this year! I will definitely check it out! I wonder if Mike Mangini will be playing the drums again, as he was the one who played on Waiting for the Punchline.

Don't You Let Me Down is one of my favorite songs from the KISS solo albums. I am proud of Peter for sticking to his guns and playing the style of music that has always been close to his heart. Peter gets bashed a lot- undeservedly in my opinion. I think maybe his preferred musical taste simply isn't "understood" or appreciated by many in the metal crowd.

i agree with you about criss. i don't think most KISS fans understand is style of music. his 2007 album "one for all' is great.

no the drummer isn't mangini. mangini was the drummer from 1994-1996 and then drummed again sometime earlier this decade when extreme played a few shows in the boston area. i believe the original drummer geary also did a few shows earlier this decade with extreme in boston. the drummer is a guy named kevin from the band satellite party that nuno played in last year with perry farell from jane's addiction
