Location: Sydney | Last night's gig at the Manchester accadamy was just fantastic to say the least.
I started off a fair few row's back, but as soon as the guitar for "What you dont know" started I got shoved about three row's from the front which was cool.
Dee was on top form. He is just so full of energy that his stage presence & his job as frontman are second to none. His banter with the crowd is always good, I especially enjoyed his rant about certain company's in the states who use TS songs for advertising, which brought on the new version of "We're not gonna take it" Called "Fuck you". Try singing "Fuck you fuckyou fuck you, fuck you fuck you fuck you"......etc to the tune of "Wer're not gonna take it, no we ain't gonna take it".........etc You should get my drift.
Jay Jay came to the michropone a couple of time's to have a go at Simon Cowel & manufactured pop stars which was totally deserved.
It was great to hear them resurerct "It's only rock n roll",. That track is alway's so good live, Dee got everyone jumping, singing throwing fist's in the air like only Dee can. They didn't do "Destroyer" but "Under the blade" (my personal favourite) sounded awsome.
It was great that they finished off with SMF, it made me go home a very happy chap. My ears are still ringing this morning, & my head is full of top memories from seeing probably the greatest rock n roll band in the world, put on such a good show, which completely blew me away. I hope it's not the last time that TS come to the uk, but if it was, at least they signed off in excellent form.
I have to give a mention to Bex & Liz fom the Slamboard who me & Sally met in the pub. It was nice to meet you & hope you enjoy the gig in Wolves tonight.
