Extreme SMF Posts: 154 | Dee mentioned months ago when he visited the slam board, that the main reason he did not visit on a regular basis was because he does not like to see any negativity. Completely understandable. So I assume this means that us SMF's can vent freely without worrying about insulting our guys. I truly am not a big fan of the Christmas CD. The wife was kind enough to bring it home tonight as a little gift (that's when you know you've picked the right woman). I just can't get into it. It's like one long song, which, to be perfectly frank, gets a bit boring. Am I the only one who thinks this? -Still a true SMF (doesn't mean you have to like EVERYTHING)

Record Company Good Guy Posts: 575 | You are certainly entitled to your opinion. Even if it's WRONG! lol. Seriously all I ask of people is to listen with an open mind which you obviously have. My only problem is that I would hate this to be the last recorded output from them. Yes that is a special woman you have there. For all my complaining about my wofe not letting me have any fun, today is my 11th anniversary and I am happier today than I was 11 years ago.

SMF 1st Class Posts: 9 Location: Rochdale, UK | It's an OK album, and a better than average Christmas album, but I'd prefer a proper Twisted album as their parting shot. Doesn't stop me being a fan of the group though (guess that's the big difference with rock fans)

Elite SMF Posts: 238 Location: Central Virginia | Well I have heard the whole thing now and I'm not going to curse or say it's terrible or it sucks. It's fine for what it is, it's just not my style. May have to do with the fact I don't do Christmas, may be that I long for a new original material album. I dunno, just not my thing. Am I less of an SMF for that? I don't think so but if someone else thinks so, eh, ok. I really am glad so many people are enjoying it, I like most everyone here and I like to see you enjoy your tunes. And I love the boys and I'm glad to see it doing well for their sake. On Dec 25th I'll probably be listening to Burn In Hell

As these 2 albums are holiday albums, one is obviously far superior to the other. TS Xmas is ok. Above average? That's subjective. I for one think it's below average considering what they're capable of. I think some people just drool over anything they release. Not the proper POV to judge any artist's work. J. Mathis' Xmas album is legendary. Some of MSR is really good. Some of it sucks. TSO is generally ass kicking. Gary Hoey's very cool. TS...love them to death...but this album does get a bit mundane. It's fun but nothing spectacular. But at the same time I don't believe they were going for anything ground breaking. They were just having a good time and that's what it sounds like. There are a few really cool tunes but some others urge me to hit the skip button. I give a 'B-'. Van Helsing's Curse gets a solid 'A'
