Haven't listened to it yet - will probably do so this afternoon.

The burning Christmas tree on the back cover cracked me up, tho.

Yeah, I've have..it's fun, cute and novel and that's really about it. I'm not thrilled with some of the production values but I think it was intentional for the most part.

I don't want to compare it with TSO as Twisted was not trying to do the same thing but I know I'll be favoring TSO as I do every year....Hey you can't Spell TSO without TS!

I picked it up this morning, and have listened to it all day. I think it's awesome, I think let it snow is one of my favs with the Rock and Roll Saviors riff, it also sounds like Black Sabbath's Children of The Grave in the beginning. Pretty creative I must say.

To all the bashers, f#$k you all, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all.

I think they should have an instrumental version of the album, no offense to Dee at all, it's just that I would like to be able to listen to it all year round without thinking of Christmas when I hear it.

Can't wait to see the boyz in December.

Enjoy!

I have my CD!!!! Listening to it now....will take it to work and listen all night too! I love it, I think it is great.

Went to the closest cd Store, checked everywhere for it, Metal, Rock, New releases, the display racks and even the Christmast section, couldn't find it...so asked a store clerk, and he says "oh I seen that last night", so he goes on the search for it..nadda!! so he askes ANOTHER clerk, and her response "yeah, I see it last night".....so again they search every I looked and nothing! finally about 10 minutes later they find it, no idea where they had it, but I took it and paid and came home to crank it up!! Long time waiting to hear it in full!

Now waiting to find out all the dates for the tour, hope to make a show!!

aw saber, take it easy on freddie, he has a right to his opinion doesn't he?

I haven't heard it yet, haven't bought it, don't know if I will. I heard the tunes on my space and I guess it's fun for Christmas and all if you celebrate it but I just don't think it will be on my top favorite TS song list.

I'm glad everyone else seems to be enjoying it though. If you like it thats all that matters, can't expect it to suit everyones taste.

Peace

Got it! On my second listen as I type. Great!! Some very cool highlights are......

the Ramones touch on "Have Yourself...."
the "WNGTI" verion of "Oh Come All Ye Faithful"
the "SMF" ending for "White Christmas"
the AC/DC feel on "Silver Bells"
the Judas Priest sounding "I Saw Mommy Kissing......" is AWESOME!!!!
the "RARS" version of "Let It Snow"
the Thin Lizzy "Deck The Halls" was a very nice touch
and "Heavy Metal Christmas" simply kicks ass!!

This one will definitely be in heavy rotation for the holidays! Picked mine up at work. We're actually going to be doing some kind of marketing event with it as we get closer to Christmas. Not sure what yet but will keep you posted.

For those out there that are bashing it, get a life and a sense of humor! This entire album is very tongue and cheek. The boys are clearly having a lot of fun so good for them! At the end of the day, if they're enjoying themselves, then more power to 'em! If you can't lighten up and see the humor in this and have some fun with it, then go sulk in the corner and be miserable by yourself. The rest of us will be at the party enjoying ourselves.

allmusic ((( Twisted Christmas > Overview )))

Review by James Christopher Monger

Holiday-themed albums need to either be pretty good, horrifically terrible, or completely original to cause even the jolliest head to turn. Twisted Christmas, a ten-track collection of yuletide classics from the band that once writhed atop a convertible singing the song "Burn in Hell" near the end of Pee Wee's Big Adventure, manages to achieve all three. Twisted Sister was always a group that would occasionally transcend their hair metal image with some truly majestic and powerful rock & roll, so it comes as no surprise that they filter the beloved Christmas carol through the same makeup-smeared sieve that brought the world "I Wanna Rock," "Wake Up the Sleeping Giant," and "The Prize." In fact, "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" sounds so much like a reimagining of "We're Not Gonna Take It," the listener can't help but become outraged at all of the injustice in the world. "Deck the Halls" sounds like a Ramones tune, "I'll Be Home for Christmas," featuring guest vocalist Lita Ford, could have launched a thousand lighters at any stadium in the late '80s, and the absolutely embarrassing "Heavy Metal Christmas" ("12 silver crosses, 11 black mascaras, ten pairs of platforms, nine tattered T-shirts, eight pentagrams, seven leather jackets, six cans of hair spray, five skullhead rings, four quarts of Jack, three studded belts, two pairs of spandex pants, and a tattoo of Ozzy") is almost impossible to turn off without seeing it through to its loathsome but charming end.

OH!!! I almost forgot! When I picked up the TSXmas I also noticed a bunch of DESPERADO Cd's in stock. Maybe I forgot that it was back in print but it obviously is. Does anyone want me to pick one up for them? It's not a problem at all....Late...Jay

Also....to those who are off their rocker bashing people who are not into the album...Take a chill pill! Holy crap..Who cares if someone else doesn't like it? Why does everyone have to agree with you? Relax and don't be so concerned about other people's opinion's. Didn't you learn anyhting from listening to Twisted Sister's lyrics?

As for me, I think it's all right. Most all of what Twisted has released n the past I'm enamored by.....but would never trash on someone for having their own point of view. It's really not a good trait to have, ya know. It's no different from them thinking we're morons for not being into their passions.

Sometimes I really hate writing points like this. I shouldn't have to because I shouldn't have been influenced to in the first place. Sorry.

Let's.....Have Ourselves A Merry Little Website!

Got mine a couple of days ago when the neighbours returned from Florida ( they were asked to skip the postcard but check out the record stores!)

Listening to it in the car. If I put it on at the start of my journey -I pull into the car park at work to the last few bars of "we wish you a twisted christmas"

very good timing!
