I got a couple of 'new user' notifications today with obviously fake email addresses. I should make this clear:

This board sets up membership by sending you an email for verification. You must use a real email address in order to get your password.

No real email, no password. No password, no membership. It's that simple.

As for now, non-members can post messages - but I'm turning that feature off next week. And if you don't have a member account, you'll be able to read the forums, but you won't be able to post anything.

So sign up. And use a real email addy so you can log in. Thanks.

Under the 'SMF Slamboard' graphic at the top of the page, there should be a link that says 'Register.'

Click it, pick a user name and leave your email addy, and we'll send you a random password.

After you log in you can change it to whatever you want.
